Love the ozarks
Dont let the video fool you. I grew up down there and currently have a lake home there. It is not what it used to be sadly. People used to be nice, respected your dock, the waves they made, etc. Those days are gone. That said, If your jam is 1 ahole after another with more money than sense driving boats far too big for an inland lake and a local economy that does nothing but cater to said aholes then loto is the place for you lol. During the week it's still nice but money is ruining it like everything else.

Too bad that water became so dirty. Like all man overuse and pollute
I like the higher energy of living in a big city now, but I always miss the stunning beauty of the lake, it was a nice place to grow up.
Use too be awesome! Still ok But overbuilt tourism. Water not as pretty as once was! Too many boats holidays and inexperienced boaters , makes not as safe. Way oversized boats also.
I lived at the Lake area for years and they had stopped the tours of the dam

My dad worked at wobbly boots and the salty dog which later turned to dog days at the same time. I remember him turning on SpongeBob for me in the morning while he was prepping the smokers early in the morning.. good times
