Dang! I've just been stabbing a hole in the bottom of the can all these years! No one has really told me I've been doing it wrong - other than the occasional dirty looks in the restaurants and cheers at the pub...
I've been doing this since the beer companies started with the wide mouth cans. I never thought about it, it just seemed to flow better. Sometimes good things need no thought
You learn something new every single day. I'm going to give this a try for the beers I'm reviewing next. If I mess it up, I'm going to blame you. That's fair, right? LOL! Thanks for the info, dude. Looking forward to trying it out. Sorry about your finger. I think I saw it in your IG story. Looked gross! Cheers, buddy!
@@averagejoe716 This is a better way to pour. Just do a slight angel. I get no bubbles on the top of the head anymore. Just tight compact head. You would think they would design the can, for a smooth pour. But no...the can was designed by humans, so it is full of flaws. Glad i was subbed to this channel. No more bubbles...Cheers
I tried this and found it harder to pour smoothly. I will try again. I was a 16oz can, with the same mouth. Thanks for the alternative pour suggestion...Cheers!!!
Right, the tab and the cover can block the flow a little, plus the gap is wider at the side. Try it a few times with a Stout Beer, you'll see how easy it is to get that perfect pour.
Got the pour down now. Just need to pour it at a slight angel. The glass was upright, and i pour it this way, and there were no bubbles, on the top. It was awesome. You would think they would design the can, for a smooth pour. But the can was designed by humans, so it has flaws. Thanks for the video.
Awesome! Yea I didn't know how much I needed to go into on how or why this way is better. I thought keeping the video shorter would be better than having it be 15min long or so. Glad you got it to work
This couldn't be more wrong. Cans are overly carbonated. You want the carbonation to escape so you don't end up super bloated. Hold the glass straight up pour half the glass let it foam up and settle then drink. Cheers!
Beer out of a can is wrong anyway. I always get the taste of the plastic liner and some faint tinniness from the aluminum. I get the same taste from soda cans. I always get aggravated when companies like Ballast Point transition to cans. I used to like Sculpin, then I tried it out of a can, and it was kinda gross and, it turns out, not worth the $16 asking price for a 6 pack.
th-cam.com/video/uEaYCppCrDg/w-d-xo.html Half True, too aggressive of a pour is a bad thing. But having a bit of an aggressive pour at the end to open up the carbonation is correct. (see video link above)
Thanks prof, I’m going to practice this with some homework right now.
Honestly try it, let me know what you think. It took me about 2 beers to really see it.
Love that I found you in the beer lovers group & am now subscribed to your TH-cam channel!
Thanks man! Cheers to you! Hope you like the stuff here

Yea it took me about 2-3 times and I got the hang of it.

It works! Thanks for the tip.
Np....check our my latest beer pouring video!
This seems like a mix between the “Get all the foam out” zealots and the “Loose no carbonation” people. I like this. It’s a healthy medium. 👍
Wow, mind blown! Excellent video!
Thanks, I did this by accident and thought wow this was actually better I need to tell me people about this

Hot day, nothing wrong with the ol' CL smooth. With pizza, shrimp, oysters, brisket, you get the idea.
Awesome! Cheers! 🍻👍
Thanks cheers!
I just did this with a 16 oz yuengling black and tan and dammit it tastes Soo much better. Wildddd
Cheers man!
Ha! it's Coors light! like it matters!! LOL
true but I wasn't going to waiste a good beer that I had to open multiple cans of to get different shots.
@@HopsAndBrews great answer!
Cheers!!
You want to keep the can or bottle off the glass when pouring correct?
Yes, especially if it's draft beer too. You don't know that last time the tap where cleaned. Also never have beer touch the taps
Did you try the backwards pour as well?
What's the backwards pour?
@@HopsAndBrews Where you pour with the back of the tab facing the glass. Then you get it all over the bar. LOL

Where did you learn that. That is so not even close to the correct way to pour from a can

Yea there are some beers that definitely need the glass to them. You can taste a difference. I don't care what some people say
I always pour sideways, just like the way I drive, if I want more head I just pour harder. ;)
this is actually wrong. you want to get rid of carbonation with an aggressive pour

Credibility lost as soon as I saw Coors light
Why blur the logo?
I tried to use TH-cam Editor and it messed up the Blur feature, and now it wont let me undo it.
Fixing it now

I want as little carbon dioxide in my beer as possible. I will pass.
Why not just drink Nitro beers or cask ales?
Honestly I love those too.
Hey… where’d your finger go? 😉

Its still a swore subject ;)
