Puerto Vallarta Fishing for HUGE Sailfish!

We went fishing in Puerto Vallarta targeting Sailfish, Tuna, Marlin, Dorado and anything else that would bite! We were able to catch two HUGE Sailfish during the 8 hour trip outside the bay of banderas. Britnie landed a monster after a tough fight that had her arm burning. Her first billfish species, and definitely a personal best that will be very tough to beat in the future! Jake was able to land a second, slightly smaller fish, but still very large. Eventually we were able to catch a couple of Skipjack tuna that we turned into fresh ceviche right on the boat. It doesn't get any fresher than eating fish that was swimming 20 minutes before you eat it.
The fish was landed using a Penn International 50W with a broomstick rod. We were trolling 8 different lines at once using the outriggers. We didn't end up hooking any marlin, but we put out some very large baits hoping for one! Overall, it was another amazing deep sea fishing trip in the mighty Pacific Ocean!
