I think it is worth the extra money. He is not a small dog and he has a lot of hair. You would be working double time. Your time is worth the extra 1 x $20.

I've used both and neither seemed capable of getting enough hair off of my Goldie. I switched to a human paddle brush and since there was no chance of an accidental scratch, my dog really liked it. As for Oshie's enthusiasm for fetching, he and my retriever did the same thing, saw object whizz by, went to inspect, turned and walked away. Good Oshie!!

I always recommend the real Furminator ! Does a good safe job, and our pups always feel better afterwards. Ps .? Is Oshies wound all healed? Dog parks are notorious germ breeding places! A good paw clean after visiting recommended! Love your boy 💕

I bought the furminator years ago when they first came out. I spent more on it then and it doesn't have the fur ejector. And it's by far the best brush on the market in my opinion.
I have a Furminator (actually 2 different sized ones for different areas on him) for my long coat German Shepherd HavoK. It works better than any of the other combs brushes I have had. Just gotta remember to not press down to hard and not to tilt it (see instructions) combing him....HavoK hates being combed so it not a fun chore. He will get up on the sofa and try & hide. Turn away. Not face the way I want him to. Roll on his back. He doesn't get mad he just doesn't like it..
when you put on insta stories that Oshie was the only dog at the park, I was like hmm cause I saw shadows in a distance of other dogs. Turns out they are pictures of dogs on the fence and not real dogs lol No wonder they were standing so perfectly like show dogs

I had the Furminator for my Nevin. He loved getting brushed. I would brush him on the deck. I had a stool and he would just hop up there and sit all day as long as I kept brushing him. But, he was a Border Collie, so they know what’s what 😉
Definitely with you on that. We don't go often and hadn't been in a long time so unlikely it was the cause of the paw injury. But definitely wish they chose something other than mulch cause it is a nice big space for them to be off leash
So what do you think? Is the Furminator worth the $30 or does the budget option good enough?
