"The Honda Civic spoiler of all chord positions." You're not wrong there. More priceless information. Easy to understand. I'm starting to sound like I know what I'm doing.
Sean Daniel you've got me over the hump of the first position to the rest of the fretboard. I'd been stuck in the open position for a while, but I'm breaking out now. There's a whole new world beyond the fourth fret, but we need a push to get there. You have great communication skills. Many thanks.
Still the best guitar game changer I've ever come across! Probably the best thing for someone who's learned a few chords and wants to take their playing to the next level. The double stops add a nice horizontal element to otherwise purely vertical (chords) playing.
every other intro to a guitar video: *starts playing* sean: "ever since ive installed a giant spoiler to my honda civic, ive been turned from basic to sublime" this is why you're my favourite, sublime sean
What's fun with this lesson is I hear "People Get Ready" by Curtis Mayfield in those chords, so those double stops wind up sounding super soulful here. Great job.
I'm still driving my 95 civic, minus the spoiler. I think we might have raced each other back in the day. All I remember is that the guy played guitar and had a car full of amazing female singers! Was that you SD? License plate said "WE RYDE" 😂
Dude! You're teaching just keeps getting better and better. I mean, yeah, you were awesome back in the day and all, but now you're like, slipping in all that theory without me even noticing and freaking out on it and you're just making it all normal and all. Damn! But, seriously, I'm always loving the sweet rhythm and mutes when you go all finger style. Lesson? And btw, I'm still rocking the '91 accord wagon. Sans spoiler. :-(
I had a '57 Chevy I put a 396/375 4 speed in... and we always played the F on the high E string w/an F chord. Just moving the C chord over one, or that's how I remembered it back in the day. 8) All good stuff, thanks Sean!!! 8) --gary
Sean, you've got someone who's way older than the oldest Honda Civic (the one with the fake walnut dash) finally thinking about guitar and making progress. Thank you.
This type of thing would also lay a nice foundation for a second guitarist to improvise/solo over...though I think some double stop and chord combinations may also sound too busy and wouldn't leave enough room for a second guitarist.
Sean’s brain: *Oh god, I’ve gone back to this Honda Civic spoiler metaphor too many times. Say something, ANYTHiNG besides Honda Civi-* Sean’s mouth: “It’s like when you’re curled up with your Honda Civic spoiler on one of those cold lonely nights...”
These double stops are brilliant, making things more musical. I'm trying triple and quadruple stops to enhance my adventures. Does anybody have a Spare spoiler that I can modify, I'm gonna put it on my guitar!
The only thing I hate more than a Sean Daniel guitar lesson being interrupted by a commercial, is a Sean Daniel lesson being interrupted by a commercial for buying online guitar lessons because lessons on TH-cam don’t work.
Ahhh I had trouble following this one. What is the 5th fret A min7 voicing? its the 5th fret G on the D string and C on the G string. So just the minor 3rd and minor 7th? No root?
It took me some time to realize that what you have installed on your honda civic wasn't a sign that read something long the lines of "Darth Vader is Luke's father".
Cmon, are you going to tell us you weren’t high when you pulled that wrinkled Polo shirt out of the dryer and thought, “hey , let’s do a video on a chord progression that I can can do in my sleep- hey honey, did the dog eat my pick?” 😎
You might be getting through some of these a little too fast for some of the younger, less-advanced folk to keep up. [innocent face] Just thought I'd mention...

I like that he's still doing those intro jokes. Never change sean
Easily the most difficult part of this entire operation.
He may be serious...you never know
"The Honda Civic spoiler of all chord positions."

Glad to hear it's coming together!

Just realised that your channel is awesome man I'm learning loads new stuff I can apply right away to my playing ✌️🇮🇪🎸😁
So glad to hear it!

I'll never let you down!
Love it ...fell in love with the four chord; great tune from Greensky Bluegrass...The Four. Always good stuff Sean.
Great lesson! I started having fun with these cool ideas straight away. Thanks heaps!
That guitar/amp combo is sounding really nice!! 👌
Thanks Sam!!
Basic to sublime. Very nice. Nice cool instructional video there too bro. Looking, sounding nice.
Thanks so much!

Pretty solid tips Sean. I like how you dont try to talk over my head with this stuff. Thanks

My Best Teacher On TH-cam ❤️
Thanks so much!

You can't triple stop a double stop! Lloyd! Lloyd!! You can't triple stop a double stop!! Cheers Sean
Love you bro, always learning from you while smiling my ass off 😁 now I want a civic!
Then we can race!
The 4 chord to the 1 chord you hear that a lot in Gospel music ( I agree sounds better than 5 chord) Good lesson

Thanks as always for watching Gary!
This man is a great teacher. Brilliant sean
That guitar is beautiful
I LOVE it!
Lovely, well done

Happy to help!

I'm surprised you didn't drive a Gremlin with a spoiler. That would have been perfect 😅
Great video, as usual man, thanks!
Your Honda spoiler joke earned you a sub 👍
Finally a (C-G-Am-F) progression that sounds Dope!!!
Thanks for the cool guitar trick that I hope I do not forget. Appreciated!! Right now I forgot where I put my car FOB.
It'll turn up :)

Sean’s mouth: “It’s like when you’re curled up with your Honda Civic spoiler on one of those cold lonely nights...”
Have a picture you can show us of that Civic with the spoiler?
F is my fav!
We need a picture of that Honda Civic!
Should I get my work done? TH-cam notification say: No! Sean Daniel Pentatonic Drift!
Or riff
;)
Honda civic. Seans days drift racing in the circuit. One of the greateat drift racers in a half mile radius lmao

Classy
I’ve got a spoiler for you. Snape kills Dumbledore.

Sounds about right for TH-cam
I hate that ad. It's ironically bull sheet! TH-cam is a great resource to learn music.
Your voice sounds like a cross between Tom Bodett (Motel 6 Commercials), Steve Martin, and Tim's bald Brother in Sitcom " Home Improvement".
Ahhh I had trouble following this one. What is the 5th fret A min7 voicing? its the 5th fret G on the D string and C on the G string. So just the minor 3rd and minor 7th? No root?
Im currently "at" the honda civic spoiler level .. hahah ... thank you for this vid
Dude, wheres the cool Sweetwater shirt!? heh
I mean, I'll take it if you don't want it. Cool vid, love how you explained it.
It'll be appearing again soon!
Sean you better have had a coffee can exhaust to go along with that spoiler!
Only the finest!
Thanks for getting me over the wall. The jokes are a bonus.
It took me some time to realize that what you have installed on your honda civic wasn't a sign that read something long the lines of "Darth Vader is Luke's father".
Hey Sean what model is the D'Angelico? I'm looking in to them at the mo.
Thanks for watching! That's a Mini DC, there's a link in the description of the video, it's a pretty cool one!
@@seandaniel23 thats exactly what I'm looking at! Is it stock or have you swapped out the pups?
@@steveechoesguitar3295 it’s all stock. I did remove the pick guard though just cause I like the look of it better.
@@seandaniel23 cool, thanx I appreciate yr help!
Wow
Double stop subwhoofers on th A minor pentatonic, ecstatic bliss on my eardrum timpanii, over a normal chord progression,Ah!
I bought one of those giant, wooden homemade sub-woofers a couple years ago. LOL
Hope you got a good deal!
@@seandaniel23 Well, it's an ugly bass rig but at least all the impedances match nowadays.
Is a sub woofer, a scuba diving dog?
Just got a HB st 20, 15 mins ago......I wanna talk about it lol
CONGRATS!
I'm totally ready to start learning again. Havent played in over 15 years, and all I remember are old slayer solos
when is the giveaway?
Just gotta get Dovy over the shoot the video, i'm thinking Thursday or Friday :)

You got a spoiler for my Tacoma? Thanks in advance.
In the mail!

Honda Civic
Big bet the down voters drive Doge Neons with an aftermarket spoiler and an exhaust held in place with coat hangers.
Haha, i knew one of those!
Is your hair a separate, living being? After the cameras are off it crawls away and your baldness shines. Or its extra awesome hair. I think the former
Spoiler alert
intonation is a bit weird
Please tune your guitar next time.
Do you ever comb your hair??? or you do all you videos right out of bed?????
Your guitar is out of tune and the tone is lame 😂. Nevertheless I suppose the lesson is good enough to justify watching.
