    Hi. Thanks for sharing! Beautiful cup. know this is an old video, but would you happen to remember the brand and color of the mica powder?

      It's from solar color dust the super chameleon pigment gold/green/dark purple.

    I did mine exactly like you did. Step by step. When I went to put my epoxy on it I got billions of dimples immediately. I didn't even get all the epoxy on it and it was pitting. What happened? Why?

    this is so pretty! What are you using to hold the cup while you are doing the top coat of resin. It is continually rotating. Brilliant method!

    Hello! Any idea how far a pack of mica powder will go?? Brushed on tack it.
    25grams, or 5 grams?
    Figuring coverage.

    • @RaesTurquoiseTurtle
      @RaesTurquoiseTurtle  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'd say conservative guess maybe a gram or gram and a half per cup depending on cup size.

    How do you remove if you need to start over?

    • @RaesTurquoiseTurtle
      @RaesTurquoiseTurtle  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you haven't epoxied yet the power and tack it will just wipe (scrub) off, if it has epoxy you will need to strip the cup. There's many ways to do that.

  • @sandyhardman2268

    Late to the party as usual, but…. Do you have to seal mica before epoxy? TY!

    • @RaesTurquoiseTurtle
      @RaesTurquoiseTurtle  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I don't I just go right to epoxy the o ly things you 100% have to seal is anything oil based like certain paints

    how long do you wait for the tack it to dry between each coat, and before you add the mica powder?

    • @RaesTurquoiseTurtle
      @RaesTurquoiseTurtle  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      10 to 15 minutes depending on how warm it is in the room, when you can't see anymore white anywhere its tacky not wet if that makes sense.

    Can you use mod podge?

    • @RaesTurquoiseTurtle
      @RaesTurquoiseTurtle  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      it has to be something that remains tacky and doesn't dry dry and as far as I know there isn't a repositionable modpodge

  • @sunshines507
    @sunshines507 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Does diluting tack it just help it spread easier? When I've used it for glitter, I just use it straight.

    • @RaesTurquoiseTurtle
      @RaesTurquoiseTurtle  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      For the tacky method it thins it and gives more even coverage, for straight applying glitter straight is fine.
