I worked at a Sears in the automotive dept. part time while going to college , in 1976. I was the stockroom attendant, so whe I was caught up, Iwould help on the floor dis-mounting and mounting new tires. For some tires that didnt want to seat, we had a strap that you could put around the tire and fill with air to make it squeeze the tire, to make it seal. I would also help the truck tire guy, thats when they still used split rings, DANGEROUS He had a cage outside to inflate the tires in. I was always extra carefull around him, just helping move the tire itself around. Stay safe
