awesome video man that sea dragon at the weed at the start was sick as! pretty cool u land ur 1st ever puffer fish haha good range of species landed from the shore too
I saw them at the bottom of a ladder and had to try and get a good shot. At first I thought they were seahorses but I looked them up and there actually something else. Thanks for the feedback man appreciate you always
@@GaryMorrison-th8sr Thank you I'm glad you enjoyed! Best of luck out there Gary I'm thinking the same thing I'm sure there will be at least gurnard around at this time of year.
Thanks heaps man it's definitely not easy to do fish and film and try and turn on two go pros well hooked up to a fish but with practice it can be done. I really appreciate 🙏 I'm super proud of this one that's for sure 😁
Hey man no idea sorry and I don't know if I will have an update in future. He can do whatever makes him happy I'm guttered too but yeah i want to respect his decisions and not talk about him well he's not around.
What size hook can you use in that area and what sinkers should I use by that lighthouse at Wellington Harbour bro? I lost my rig at the light house cuz I’m new to fishing 😂…. And such a great video by the way!!
@@kaimes6728 hey thanks man. Fishing in weedy areas there is always that chance of loosing your gear make sure to bring a few rigs. I have a guide where I show what rigs I use how to tie them and all the gear is linked in the description have a look through my videos and check it out. Also when winding in make sure to wind in quickly to keep your rig as high as possible in the water column so it clears the weeds best of luck out there!
Cher bro. Another big fan of yours here cuzzy. Learned a lot about winter snapper fishing in Kapiti from your vids. Although when I gave it a go all I caught was a kahawai and a snapped rod lol FAIL! Slowly upping my fishing game this year. Cheers bro, keep the mean bids coming. Winny 🤙🏾🤙🏾
Cheers for the kind words Winnie! Persistence always pays off in the end I've definitely snapped a few rods too. I'm stoked you like the vids and can take something from it. I'll stay on it and best of luck out there 🙏 😁
Hey thanks man I tend to put the single hook quite high above the sinker so I hopefully don't loose the fish to weeds. In weedy zones atleast a meter then from hook to swivel about 30cm. Another thing I do which I havnt told people about is if you have an old sand grabbing sinker with only two prongs instead of 4 chuck that out I can still set the sinker and am less likely to get snagged.
Another great video thank you. I'm new to Wellington. What exact locations were you at in this video? I'm looking at starting out doing some light tackle using soft baits and lures.
Hey man thanks for the feedback I'm glad you enjoyed. I am sorry to say but I'm not going to be dropping locations or there will be hundreds of people that show up it's just how it is. There will already be lots of people showing up that know where these zones are etc. if your looking at doing some softbaiting along all the wharves in Wellington lots of gurnard to be caught there.
Love seeing the under water footage! Looks mean! Just don't lose your camera or you might have to take a dip! haha... And nice fishing bro, a puffer fish even! wtf hahhahahaa Nice vid bro!
@@dallasmarshall7746 Thanks brother! Was a mint couple days in wellington my best sessions out there thus far. Hopefully some more good ones to come this season
