I read on IMDB he used a combo of Shelby Foote (Civil War narrator who was a fixture in the Ken Burns Civil War Documentary series) and Christopher Guest's character in Best in Show (the guy with the Bloodhound dog if you've seen the movie).
I like how they just call Marta the “South American nurse”. I know it makes the accent joke work but it also continues the gag (vomiting pun intended) of having characters forget what country she’s from.
He grew up in Virginia and Kansas... isn't that kinda southern accent-y? Sounds like it to this Canadian, anyways. I fact-checked it with Fred Armisen's stand-up routine and it checks out, though milder/gentler sounding in those places?
I like how Daniel is leaning into Foghorn Leghorn as the accent origin just by being in this scetch. It is exactly what I think of every time he talks in Knives out.

Daniel Craig shines in more comedic roles, like Logan Lucky and Knives Out, you can feel how much fun he’s having. James Bond makes him seem very dry.
