Thank you for the helpful stencil tips. 😊 Just wanted to suggest maybe wash the sponges & re-use them so as to reduce waste & more eco-friendly 😊

I've must have went through quite a few videos before I found yours. I'm new to stenciling and you were the only one who brought up the foam brushes but I think I'm going to get the makeup sponges even though I had that spray adhesive I think I want the tape also

Thanks for the tip on where to get quality stencils. I picked some up at Michael’s and they were just cardboard and probably only one time use. I was going to try to cut some on my cricut but can’t find quality plastic to do it.

I was just gonna use one of those because those pouncers leave a lot of air bubbles.

I use 6mil or 7mil stencils bought from Amazon. Like you, some of the ones I have used are too flimsy, alternatively, when too thick, even with the more pressure setting, I find that the stencil is just scored as opposed to cut. Even with the 6 or 7 mil, I find that I have to either take an exacto knife to it to cut it out OR, some of the stencil separates during peel off the backing sheet (using Cricut). I usually run it through twice. Do you have any tips that you can share? I have changed out the blade before and still have an issue at times.

I have thinking about those disposable foam applicators or makeup thingies, even if you reuse, all that acrylic paint is going down the drain. Which is worse, I do not know. Hard to say, I just hate the throw away society we live in I know it should be kept within reason. Sorry if I was out of line.

I wash and reuse my foam make up brush wedges so they last me a long time! I know what you mean! so much waste .....

I was at the craft store a week ago and found some sponsors to apply my paint with and the sponsor had a end or you could screw the paint bottle on but I found out doing it that way was not good the paint was too runny and my stencil didn't work out right so I'm going to stick to just using the sponsor pad instead of applying the bottle to it

Hi Grace, when you paint your boards with chalk paint, do you need a special brush? I have acrylic brushes.

When stenciling on fabric such as t-shirts or tote bags do you have to put a base coat down where you're going to stencil

What do you use if you are using one of the large stencils? Do you still use the small sponges?

Hey Summer!!! thanks for tuning in! I've been using the Essential Stencil stencil brushes, which I love...they come in 4 sizes!!! Or if you're doing a large porch leaner / vertical sign you can use a roller!!

Hey Summer!!! I'm just seeing this now!!! How bizarre! If I'm doing a large porch leaner a paint roller works great for even coverage and it's much faster!!!

Cost effective but hardly good for our world especially with a bunch of acrylic paint on it. It all ends up in the landfill that our kids will have to 😢deal with. Please think about it. Other than that awesome video. Man,y thanks!
