Nice to see how beautiful you are treating this wonderful watch. I have the same, but unfortunately the machanism stopped working. I would give a lot for someone to take care of him like you do your 7000.
This is great, I appreciate the diligence in taking this one apart. I got one off of Let Go a while back that runs ok but seems like it is dirty. So I want to take it apart too. So great timing!
Ah man I'm glad you appreciate these like I do! I have an original one (new genuine crystal fitted due to scratches) and I love it! The 007 is far more popular but I like having a different one! Loved the video series
i have one from july 1994 base on the serial. Inherit it from my tito.. untouch never been buff.. and still working until today.. i using it daily .. even in the bath.. i also use it for diving. i love this seiko vintage diver. nice vid btw. keep it up.
I've bought from him a few times. The only one that I didn't like was a 7002 with a 7009 movement. But that was my fault for not paying attention..... I even bought a batch of old 6309s and 6319s that are all rusted, to practice taking these movements apart, so I don't ruin my nice 6309s and 6306s.
Does the 7002 have the movment number on the rotar or on the mechanism itself or do they not bother sometimes ???...great vids love watching you work!!!
I am a longtime Seiko lover...i have fallen in love with the Belltronic...do you have anything in your collection that you would be willing to part with?...or any suggestions?
Hey Spencer, Nice build. Quick seiko 4006a question, I have low amplitude 164, but high rate +100s/d. and I have the lift angle set at 58.4 because that's the specs I found online. Too me that indicates a dirty movement, would you agree?
I'd say so. Amplitude is always the first indicator. That's seriously low amplitude for one of these. If anything, they're prone to overbanking. And low amplitude can easily generate high rates of gain - shorter rotation = shorter "seconds" = faster indicated time.

I don't know how the hell you put it back together. I lost you after you took the bezel off! Reminds me of the old board game Operation.
It is really a hard thing to do. A challenge to any patience and memory and attention deficit syndrome!! lol

What auction is this? I've looked but, can't find anything.

Was there a particular model you were interested in? This is the first-gen automatic day/date movement with alarm function - the bell-matic?
excellent...
I did a search for "thewatchcollector" and cant find his store in eBay. Can you post a link?
Yes please.

Spencer Klein saved the link. Thank you

Pretty impressive stuff 👍
Spencer, I would love to have my watch serviced by you, sent you a message on Facebook.
I'm not taking work currently - I've got about 14 months of work backlogged.
