My grandfather passed away from cancer today. He was a headstrong man that always provided for his family. He'd give the shirt off his back and his last penny to his family. Grand-dad, you took the blows, and you did it your way. RIP Chen Duan Shi 09/07/1942 - 10/19/2023.
To be honest, this song really touched me. I love how it encourages you to do things *YOUR WAY*, not listening to what others have to say, not listening to people who put you down, not listening to people who force you to go down a certain path they want you to. Do things the way you want, no matter what they do to try and stop you, nothing should stop your courage and determination for a goal you've set in life. Nothing should stop you from doing the things you love. Nothing should stop you from chasing your dreams. If you are reading this, stay strong and do it your way.
My father passed April 28th 2023. Two years battling cancer, the last two weeks were his hardest. He did it his way! Cheers to those who have had an impact in our lives!
I just lost my father four days ago, and, not only was this his favorite song, but this was also him in a nutshell. He passed away at the age of 83. He fought through all kinds of illnesses; multiple brain aneurysms, kidney failure (in both) leading to dialysis 3x/week - from blood poisoning due to an IV needle not having been changed at a hospital visit, along with close to complete blindness and deafness. He worked really hard, having come from poverty, to succeeding all on his own - without anyone’s help (or as Frank Sinatra sings ‘without exemption’), even at the age of 83 not having wanted to stop with everything stock market related. He was a very stubborn man, but people loved him. He had charisma, he just had….that kind of personality that drew you to him, along with having left a great impact on many. He definitely lived his life ‘his way’, and will be remembered by everyone who knew him. Rest in peace, Dad ♥️

Listening after taking my grandma on her first trip outside of our homeland Belize. She is 82. May God bless her sweet soul with many more years of travelling.
Backstory be told ngl. When i was a kid, some folks in the church noticed my talent on music. When i asked my parents and other family members that i wanted to learn music and its instruments, they ignored my request. So i self-taught every musical instrument near to me with everyone looking down on me. But here i am playing the bass with this song...doing it MY WAY! I want them to play this on my funeral and i won't regret it.
Here because this was played at my great aunt’s funeral today at her request. Perfectly fitting. You sure did, Aunt Frances. Rest easy with your people. ❤️
this was my grandfather's favorite song, he died in 2019 and in his late 70's from his fourth and final battle with brain cancer. this is now my favorite song and because i have the most genes from that side, the cycle will continue. rest in peace grandpa, you did it your way.
This was my mom's favorite song. In loving memory of my mother who passed away on August 28th st the age of 85. You were my best friend mom. Rest in peace mom ❤
Let this song be an inspiration to everyone. We do our best for ourselves, families, friends etc. Sometimes what we did might not be the best - so we took the blows. As long as these failures & regrets are only a few, then we have done well. Most inspirational are these words “I took the blows & did it My Way” We must have courage to survive in this cruel world

Frank Sinatra, the legendary American singer and actor, passed away on May 14, 1998, at the age of 82. He died at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles from a heart attack. My grand dad & my dad loved this song so much and me too. They all passed away already. Now I'm 62 years old. This song really mean something special to me with my battling condition.

To all the men out there struggling - some of us women DO recognise and appreciate you. Society has become so cruel and vicious - especially to men, and we don’t talk enough about it. Speaking of your feelings does not make you any less a man, nor does it emasculate you. Let it be known that a man who speaks from his heart is the most attractive, brave and courageous man. So whoever is struggling out there, you’re loved and appreciated - keep strong and keep going ❤
yes, it's okay to cry even if you're a man. Release the pain in your heart through tears and not through alcohol and other bad vice. It's okay to cry even if you're a man so you will live longer and provide for your families and loved ones cuz they need you.
Thank you 🙏 my Dear Sister Barbie-Baby…💚🤗💙!!! I TOTALLY DO NOT disagree w/ you!!! Growing up, that’s what me and my younger brothers and I were taught: “As men, you don’t have time or energy to express your true feelings! Suck it all up, get over whatever’s bothering you, pull yourselves together, and move forward!!” To THAT, I say: Easier SAID…than DONE. If people knew the trials one must face, they wouldn’t be so quick to have the audacity to dole out said…”motivations”…💔💔💔. I’ve been MANY things in my life: -The oldest of 4 boys and 2 girls; -A husband (twice!!!); -A single dad AND mentor to 3 adopted kids (2000-2022); -An uncle to many nephews and nieces; -A godfather to many a friends’ and acquaintances kids; -A officer and a gentleman (USMC: 1986-2001); -A boss; -A grandfather-of-sorts to one my sons’ fiancé’s son; -An on-again/off-again teacher at my daughter’s private school (she recently became official Headmistress, so I took over her teaching position), where I’m also the “student”…😊. I believe, as a man, there is no slur on one’s manhood or patriarchal status when one needs to “let it out” every now and then. But in doing so, I also believe that we SHOULD do it all…”OUR way”… ❤️🩶🤍🖤
I'll never forget the time I took my grandmother to see Frank Sinatra in concert in LI, NY. Her lifetime dream was to see "Ole Blue Eyes". She lived to be 2 wks.short of 100 yrs. old!
I love this song because it tells you to live a good, and full life. And it also tells you that no-one can tell you what to do once you are full grown and you have dreams. I love this so much.
This song reminds me of my grandfather, who passed away on the 10th of August 2023. While he was alive, he always said that this was entirely his song. Now that he is gone, we remember him because indeed, he lived his life his way
My eternal personal theme song.. everything's wrapped in here that only my soul and consciousness can reminisce about the thoughts and feelings it brought. thanks frank❤
If I have a son his name will be Alexei. R.I.P. Alexei Navalny. This song is also being played tomorrow for my favourite cousin, Brandi Michele's funeral. She died from cancer. She was 3 years younger than Alexei.
Whilst I do not identify myself with the song for the most part, even though I wish I did more, I cannot help but love it. It gives me a deep melancholy and my heart does not remain unmoved whenever I listen to it. I rather like to think that it depicts the beautiful idea and noble thought of free will and using that free will to live your life fully, experimenting the richness of life, but using it to do good things and not be an immature rebel. I think it's important for each of us to discover and recognize the fact that the world needs us, our voice, our ideas - and not become versions of ourselves that are actually the multitude of choices that others did in our name. Because it is considerate to take into account the observations that others make about us, but it's also extremely important that our own voice from deep inside our core to remain the predominant voice. We maybe each have a duty to develop our abilities and qualities. Sometimes maybe, the rest of the world doesn't even know how much it actually needs the individual unique abilities we might possess until we actually bring them to light. And so, until they are brought into light, the rest of the world may be highly skeptical about them or even against them, trying to stop us from ever developing them and trying to impose their own opinions about what they think would suit us better instead. It may sometimes be better to regret having done something than to regret not having done it. It all depends on what that thing is and our judgement regarding it. But our life is to be lived by us and no one else.
This song remind me of my father favourite song of frank Sinatra.He passed away 2005. Everytime I seen in TH-cam. I listen to this music. Unique voice of Mr. Frank Sinatra, my father told me. This classical song will always remember. Lasting song that touched every heart.
This song made me realize that sometimes you have to be willing to challenge an entire room to get them to think. You will be judged and they will think your nuts but some will do the research. Welcome to the great awakening.
GOD didn't promise us an easy journey but HE has a wonderful destiny for us and HE will be all the way with us only if we let HIM in our lives. Thank YOU JESUS.
My dad died when I was only 11, i deeply miss him and wish I'd given him more credit on his samll achievements. No one shoukd die before their parents, let alone their grandparents. Love you dad❤️
I've always do it my way....I didn't realize that there was a song that dedicated to those who did their way. And for those that have trouble doing it their way. This song is a great blueprint for you all.
I was out of songs n people that I could connect with, and in then here I am in 2023, getting awestruck by the lyric. My songs find me. My way, Frank Sinatra, you beauty :)
Dang my breaths feels heavy after listening to this ,always coming back for this great song although im 26 years old 😅 Salute for all you friends from Saudi Arabia
I think the interpretation of this song is different for each person. My dad passed away the day after Christmas and he wants this song played at his funeral, however, he wasn’t there for myself or my siblings, and he definitely “did it his way. “ He passed away alone, in a hospital with only his treatment team by his side when he took his last breath. No friends, and even his church members wanted nothing to do with him at the end because he burned so many bridges. I feel like this song reflects the narcissistic person he was, and I can say that, because I am a mental health therapist.I’m glad there are people out there who interpret the song differently. However, I hope he rests in peace and it was worth him “doing it his way.”
There's 2 songs I loved to listen over and over when Im down... This song and Cake's I Will Survive.... really gives me the motivation to carry on... Hope this songs can help those with thoughts of suicide not to give up in life and carry on... their struggles in life will one day benefit them, makes them stronger...
in loving memory of my dog khan. he was a faithful german sherpard and the strongest dog i ever could've known. khan was goofy, intellegent, and made my day every single day. my dog stood up everytime this started playing while doing homework. my dog always came to me during this song and tried to bark with it, it was honestly the goofiest thing i've ever seen him do. this dog is very easily comparable to this song. my dog did his life his way. my dog definetly ate it up and spit it out. it's been a couple of months now and hearing this song is the closest ive felt to my dog. He worked really hard, having come from poverty, to succeeding all on his own - without anyone’s help (or as Frank Sinatra sings ‘without exemption’), even at the age of 83 not having wanted to stop with everything stock market related. yes, it's okay to cry even if you're a man.
Growing up, that’s what me and my younger brothers and I were taught:
“As men, you don’t have time or energy to express your true feelings! Suck it all up, get over whatever’s bothering you, pull yourselves together, and move forward!!”
To THAT, I say:
Easier SAID…than DONE.
If people knew the trials one must face, they wouldn’t be so quick to have the audacity to dole out said…”motivations”…💔💔💔.
I’ve been MANY things in my life:
-The oldest of 4 boys and 2 girls;
-A husband (twice!!!);
-A single dad AND mentor to 3 adopted kids (2000-2022);
-An uncle to many nephews and nieces;
-A godfather to many a friends’ and acquaintances kids;
-A officer and a gentleman (USMC: 1986-2001);
-A boss;
-A grandfather-of-sorts to one my sons’ fiancé’s son;
-An on-again/off-again teacher at my daughter’s private school (she recently became official Headmistress, so I took over her teaching position), where I’m also the “student”…😊.
I believe, as a man, there is no slur on one’s manhood or patriarchal status when one needs to “let it out” every now and then. But in doing so, I also believe that we SHOULD do it all…”OUR way”…

I'll never forget the time I took my grandmother to see Frank Sinatra in concert in LI, NY. Her lifetime dream was to see "Ole Blue Eyes". She lived to be 2 wks.short of 100 yrs. old!
I love it … Thank you Frank!
This song makes me feel like I'm on the edge of a cliff celebrating after beating life.
yeah, yeah it does
I love this song because it tells you to live a good, and full life.
It was through God, through his grace, and not our way, that we triumphed... without God, we can do nothing.
as i slowly die on my bed, this will play in my head, like the end credits for my movie of life
babe i need u to tell me if ur still alive.
Rest In Peace,
Alexei Navalny🕯💔

If I have a son his name will be Alexei. R.I.P. Alexei Navalny. This song is also being played tomorrow for my favourite cousin, Brandi Michele's funeral. She died from cancer. She was 3 years younger than Alexei.
This song now forever holds a special place in my heart as it was a family members funeral and i see it every time I hear this song
Francis Albert Sinatra....always one of my very favorites!! Chairman of the Board! Probably the greatest singer/performer if the 20th century!!
Old Blue eyes
My father loved this song
This is one of my grandpas favourite songs. I miss him very much

This song remind me of my father favourite song of frank Sinatra.He passed away 2005. Everytime I seen in TH-cam. I listen to this music. Unique voice of Mr. Frank Sinatra, my father told me. This classical song will always remember. Lasting song that touched every heart.
Une interprétation magistrale chapeau Franck
I lost my Dad today Mon 13th Nov 2023. This song sums him up. He was a survivor, who overcame many obstacles. This song say it all! He was my hero. ❤
I lost my dad last night I'm so lost😢
Hope you’re doing well now brother
This song made me realize that sometimes you have to be willing to challenge an entire room to get them to think. You will be judged and they will think your nuts but some will do the research. Welcome to the great awakening.
Great thinking ❤
GOD didn't promise us an easy journey but HE has a wonderful destiny for us and HE will be all the way with us only if we let HIM in our lives. Thank YOU JESUS.
Amen and Hallelujah! 😃👌👍
Yet I don't need him for what I'm planning...
Stop
Jesus isn’t god

Beautiful Song and voice!!!
One of those songs that make me imagine myself on a cliff looking over a city with this song playing
I've always do it my way....I didn't realize that there was a song that dedicated to those who did their way. And for those that have trouble doing it their way. This song is a great blueprint for you all.
In loving memory of my granny who passed this morning.
I was out of songs n people that I could connect with, and in then here I am in 2023, getting awestruck by the lyric. My songs find me. My way, Frank Sinatra, you beauty :)
Music is really the closest we are going to get to a Time Machine.
Dang my breaths feels heavy after listening to this ,always coming back for this great song although im 26 years old 😅
Salute for all you friends from Saudi Arabia
It is still the best song lyrics I have ever heard.
Его песни на века , я дышать не могу когда слушаю гения
There's 2 songs I loved to listen over and over when Im down... This song and Cake's I Will Survive.... really gives me the motivation to carry on... Hope this songs can help those with thoughts of suicide not to give up in life and carry on... their struggles in life will one day benefit them, makes them stronger...
I played this song on my last day after my two week notice at a job that was highly toxic.
For my Dad, Donny Ross, former Welterweight Champ of Canada and obvious good buddy of Sinatra back in the day!! Thanks Frank!!
in loving memory of my dog khan. he was a faithful german sherpard and the strongest dog i ever could've known. khan was goofy, intellegent, and made my day every single day. my dog stood up everytime this started playing while doing homework. my dog always came to me during this song and tried to bark with it, it was honestly the goofiest thing i've ever seen him do. this dog is very easily comparable to this song. my dog did his life his way. my dog definetly ate it up and spit it out. it's been a couple of months now and hearing this song is the closest ive felt to my dog. RIP KHAN 9/06/23 fly high khan we miss you
Браво Фрэнк🎼👏Ты на всегда в сердцах наших ❤️
