Fun tip as a fellow AV-8B (NA) and USA AV-8B Plus user, if you have the Targeting Pod (TGP) attached, not only can you get a further zoom for your Mavericks or ripple you JDAMs faster, you can also use the TGP to lock onto aircraft and get a lead indicator for your gun when you get close enough thus making it easier to gun your target without needing a Radar Lock. Since both Aircraft have EEGS. It's why nearly every loadout I have in the AV-8B has a TGP attached and I use Stealth Rounds since it's good for both Ground and Air Targets.

Guys if u want to buy a premium grinder for US get the f4S or the f5c don't buy the av8 na cuz its just a av8b+ but only for ground strike with only 9ls and if you talisman the av8b+ u get basically the same rewards in air battles and you get the aim120 fox 3 missile and aim9m while the av8b na just has the aim9l for offensive attacks

9Ls to me just never seem to track, and everyone I’ve ever shot at with just immediately flares the moment it leaves the rail. The only consistency i have had with them is when shooting at people who do not have any flares at all. And then i see one decided to go after an SU-22 from rear aspect who is dumping hundreds of flares for no reason at all. I do not understand these dam missiles

Do you have a settings guide for jets, im new to using them and need a better way to fire flares and play defensive because looking around while flying is a nightmare, any recommendations?

i think it needs to go to 11.0 for air, n i know thats a bit much for 4 aim9ls BUT BUT BUT i think this aircraft having so many negatives compared to other 11,3s i think it could be okay
this really isnt that great for it's br, sure 4 aim 9Ls are great, but a single flare and they're useless. This matters a lot in a plane this slow, especially when you get a lot of uptiers. This plane along with most harriers has the second largest heat signature around its br, with the f14 being number 1, so although everyone can flare your missles, most of the time it is very hard for you to flare incoming missiles do so unless you dump your throttle. Still a lot of fun to dogfight other planes with, in a 1 vs 1 you will pretty much always win if they try to turn with you, however with 16 vs 16 getting a 1 vs 1 is pretty hard as most of the time you are getting ganked.
It’s pretty realistic but it likes to be cooler than real life sometimes in quiet that don’t break the game, honestly its one of my favorite things about the game

It’s a fun plane to play I would choose it over the F-5C for “dogfighting” at the moment if u call just thrust vector changing “dogfighting.” Just for the fun aspect I’d pick it over the others. But for grinding no shot I’d pick it over F-4S.
