Yes it should have a HD style coupling at both ends. The Dublo shunter at the time it was produced was ahead of all the rivals for accuracy. The weight means the model can also move a mountain! They can tend to overheat though, with continuous use, as the cab holds any heat from the motor in. The more modern version you show has not got the outside frames which Dublo made a really good attempt at back in the early 60s. You can get replacement steps (Shapeways) as these are very vulnerable on the Dublo model. I am pleased to see your Dublo reviews as I think their models, now over 60 years old, stand up really well.
Very interesting video. I never actually never knew Hornby Dublo once had a Class 08 with a reasonably accurate chassis for the time as far back as the 60's. I wonder what made Hornby use a generic chassis that was found on most 0-6-0T engines for their later Class 08s. Took up till the mid 00's for Hornby to finally go for a more proper looking Chassis again for the current 08 in their range.

Thanks for the information and thank you for watching. I will look into the steps.

The chassis didn't really occur to me but a very good point. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment.
