You summed Radiohead up very well "They know how to make atmosphere" - thats why 30 years on Im still listening to them and enjoying watching others get that kick

Let me Down was used at the end of first season finale of The Bear …and it was perfect. Love the song.

Damn, Thom’s softly-spoken vocals in the verses at the start of Exit Music are incredible. He finishes each word with the quietest sounds and that gets to me in a good way. The ‘K’ sound in “Wake” and “Pack”, the ‘P’ sound in “sleep” and “escape”, etc. Gives me the feels

Exit Music was written for the Baz Luhrmann film Romeo and Juliet, starring DiCaprio and Claire Danes. Let Down is such an amazing song, too. Thanks for keeping the review of this going.

I’ve never been bored listening to any Radiohead track , sometimes I’m not in the mood for all their albums , but bored never . I don’t believe you can get this album fully in a lifetime of listening .

Just found you guys, really enjoying the reactions. Let down is a personal favorite of mine, just the climax of the song hits me so hard personally, very simple song structurally, but so effective because of the progression of the song. Definitely one that grows on you, trust me :) Can't wait for more Radiohead, I made sure to sub.

I am really enjoying your journey through one of my favourite albums, I am a bit older and I am living vicariously through Dev’s emotional reactions. I have been luckily enough to see RH perform live, and if you want to go more proggy, I recommend The Smile, Tom and Johnny’s side project. I saw them live last summer and an incredible mix of prog rock, acid jazz and musical brilliance. Thanks for sharing this, I’m a subscriber and really enjoy your content.

So that whole Easy Star 'Radiodread' album is f***ing brilliant. I believe their version is the band's own favourite version of 'Let Down'. HUGELY recommend a full listen. Their version of 'Electioneering' is 100% my favourite, and I'm a committed Radiohead geek.

I just found y'all and I'm enjoying watching her enjoying, and him experiencing for the first time, my all time favorite band. I know this is a departure from your usual material and that's the only thing that is keeping me from subscribing. I absolutely look forward to the final episode of this journey. The Radiohead holy trinity is OK Computer, Kid A, and In Rainbows. It would be interesting to see your reactions to the evolvement (not growth) of Radiohead. If you are brave enough to venture further into more recent music, might I recommend my top 6: Radiohead (any album but the best 3 are above), Beck (very diverse artist but my favorites are his funkier stuff, Midnight Vultures, The Information, Guero), TV on the Radio (any album), The Dandy Warhols ((abbreviated titles) Thirteen Tales, Come Down, Monkey House, Dandys Rule Ok, Earth To), Depeche Mode (any album), Jack Johnson (To the Sea, In Between Dreams). Thank you for your time, efforts, and insights. BTW, Many people compare Radiohead to Pink Floyd, however, I've always sensed more of a connection to Fleetwood Mac's Rumours because of the intense atmospheric quality of their music.

Back in the day I recognized that this was cutting edge, just a game changer and brilliant musically. The melancholy lyrics were perfect for all the disaffected gen xers of that time. That being said I was given Kid A by my girlfriend and I remember liking some of it, but for the most part I was let down and not on board for where they were going after this album… maybe it’s time for a re-listen to see if I missed something and there is still a lot more out there that I have never heard.

You should check out In Rainbows. If you like Ok Computer, you’ll probably love it. I’d say the majority of fans have OKC and In Rainbows as their top 2 Radiohead albums, but other than Pablo Honey they’re all brilliant.

@@itsmedrooms6071 Yeah definitely check it out. In Rainbows has mostly guitar/drums centric songs like The Bends, as opposed to the more electronic sound of Kid A. This is one of my favorites off of In Rainbows - th-cam.com/video/GoLJJRIWCLU/w-d-xo.htmlsi=sfiU7keXCiinLiUw

Please react to Jeff Buckley. He played a major part in shaping Radiohead’s sound, post-Pablo Honey.
“A SHAMELESS RIP-OFF OF JEFF BUCKLEY AND THE COCTEAU TWINS.”
Thom Yorke: “Wow! No, but Jeff Buckley gave me confidence to sing in falsetto. And the Cocteaus are cool.”
Colin: “When we were recording ‘Fake Plastic Trees,’ we went to see Jeff Buckley play at The Garage. He just had a Telecaster and a pint of Guinness and it was just fu…. amazing. Then we went back to the studio and tried an acoustic version of ‘Fake Plastic Trees.’ Thom sat down and played it in three takes, then burst into tears afterwards. And that’s what we used for the record.”
Thom Yorke - Singer and guitarist from Radiohead
Jonny Greenwood - Guitarist from Radiohead, from the September 1997 issue of VOX

Our hosts are showing the lyrics that came with the album. They make a point to listen to songs the way a person would on the day the songs were released, which is cool (and the correct way for channels like this, imo). The only lyrics available for OK COMPUTER were the ones on the record jacket, in the cd insert, etc. You’d maybe recognize them from the packaging on your copy- it’s the lower-case computer-y looking font.
Can’t wait for the rest of the album (and Kid A, In Rainbows, etc)!
      Cheers!
