Thank you for breaking it down for us. Carpro just released their new ones. I got to use them and they are great I find that even the heavy one doesn't leave alot of marring. Thank you brother for the content. 🔥
Thank you my brother!! Glad you found it informative! I didn't know you carpro came out with a new heavy grade clay bar. But unfortunately marring is marring the marring goes away with 1 pass of the polisher anyways so whether there 100 or 1000 Wash marks the entire car getting polished. How many grams for the clay bar?! I'm about to do some research
Well typically you can see paint on the windshield or something of that sort also the feel is different of overspray. It’s not like sand paper gritty but like a smooth layer of extra paint over that sounds raspy but not gritty.
It’s a slight difference but the DIY towel is a bit finer than the P&S one. The DIY pretty much causes no marring and the Reset is a fine/medium grade which can leave marring on softer paints. Both will do an amazing job.
I’m trying to put in a piece of PPF on a panel in my car. People say I should clay before adding the PPF… my car is two months old and I hand wash it regularly. Essentially there’s very little contamination if any, which do you suggest I use?
I can definitely help you. Yes you want to ensure the panel is completely decontaminated and if possible a light polish to refine and brighten up the panel, Also I recommend just use the Clay towel from DIY as it's very fine grade clay towel and doesn't mar the surface. Use plenty of lubrication and zero pressure. 👍 Hope this helps
Appreciate the response! I actually just ordered the light clay bar chemical guys as it was a lot cheaper than the towel. It is a fine grade, do you think it’d mar/I’d have to polish after? I’ve never clayed/polished before. Really just trying to clean the rocker area on my Model Y
@@georgeking5113 yes unfortunately yes you will have to polish after using a clay bar. Especially the chemical guy ones yes it’s fine grade. The difference between clay bar and clay towel is they clay towel is not really clay it’s a synthetic material that acts like clay to remove the contaminates much safer and if used correctly no marring. Unlike the clay bar it’s very sticky it’s an actual clay and some areas even with lubrication will grab on the panel and stick to it which then adds marring. Pro and con from each is clay towel will last you practically forever and if dropped just wash the clay towel. If you drop the clay bar it’s best to throw it out. And clay towel you can use it over 50 times vs a clay bar will last you maybe 5 vehicles max. Only clay bar I ever use is for heavily contaminated vehicles and it’s Koch Chemie aggressive clay bar.
Love the synthetic decon towels. Work amazingly well.
Yes the synthetic perforated towels are fire bro. 💪💪. That's my daily use unless they are heavily contaminated
Good job.
Thank you !

U r the man Soc. Great content!
Thank you my brother 💪💪. Always showing love 🙏
Clay sponges are good in some situations aswell.
Yes the clay sponges are great but very niche. Like the bug scrubbers from TRC they are good. But a clay towel will do the same 💪💪
@DetailingMadeSimple yeah for a quicky on the bumber or windshield while washing its pretty handy.
@@kingofkings2934 exactly for those quick ones they are amazing!!
How can you tell if it’s overspray or something else on the paint?

Hey G what's the difference between the P&S and DIY Clay Towel? Which is better option to buy >>Thank You
