I love the people and all the buildings everything looks so beautiful! Not like the fake videos with the two meter long legged women. This is real and beautiful 😍

OMG This is almost as noisy as a big-city ghetto in America!! Jesus Christ WTF is with all the honking...ridiculous!!!
Sigh...no wonder Chinese people are so patient; they have such "great" training...!

This looks like a carbon copy of some low-income urban areas in Hanoi, Vietnam. Literally: narrow streets, small houses, bikes, pedlars, even the litters on the street and the chaotic noise!
    I'm living in one, actually.

Do you see how even in this poor (?) neighborhood everything is rather clean and ppl travel emissions free? It is rather silent and it does not look like a dangerous place.

I’ve been to Guangzhou. There’s a huge difference from the older areas and buildings compared with the newer. Also, you really don’t want to risk the street food.

Spent two-plus decades, beginning in 1998, working in Guangzhou, Ningbo, and Tianjin. I experienced China's best years for an American expat. Those days are long gone. You'd be well advised to consider another country. Sh*t's about to get real inside the mainland of China and smart expats are leaving in droves. You'll want to rethink the sentiment you expressed, Brian. Good luck.

Apparently they have pretty high standards. However, let's be honest, overpopulation may lead many to live in small spaces and they would not be able to buy a car, etc. I doubt that your problem is health or education like elsewhere.
I have also come across speeches that seek to encourage citizens and businessmen not to fall into Honk Kong or South Korea style practices, with respect to the quality of housing. That will take a little more time.

It depends on your reference. Urban villagers locate in megacities. Of course the urban villages are the relatively poor regions in the megacities. But the urban villages in megacities are still richer than some very rural regions.
