Hi Florian. Thanks for sharing the slow mo on Roger. So much to learn: Fluidity of movement. He makes it look so smooth and effortless. I watched the entire segment one time just looking at his footwork. It seems to help him strike the ball with less effort. And cover the court more quickly. I'd thought about switching to a two-handed backhand, but now I'm thinking twice. Thanks again!
Roger all around the greatest player and an unbelievable person off the court as well. What with his foundation work and being a class act what else can you say about the maestro!
Andreas well said and as mentioned Roger can be defined as much more than a tennis player. His foundation, his interaction with his sponsors. the fans. the family man.. He is a very "deep" person in my evaluation though I have never met him personally. Certainly miss him the day he retires. Hopefully that is not for a while!!
Admiro a Federer, el mejor del tenis mundial. Parece que estuviera dando un concierto clasico, con armonia y suavidad en sus movimientos. Aprendo mucho de este gran tenista. Forehand. Server pronation etc.
Hip rotation for power - Can someone clarify this? Roger is barely seen rotating his hips. His shoulders seem to be moving more than his hips. His chest is almost in line with where his feet are pointed to. This is in contrary to other tennis videos by pros that mention about more hip(core) rotation and less shoulder movement for max power. Florian - what do you think?
the troublesome part is that it feels that some of his forehands, backhands and service look as fast as my strokes and service but the difference is that it is here not just slow motion which is already bad enough but that it is referred to as super slow motion for him.
Every tennis manual should have Betterer photos, start to finish :) It's funny how in tennis you have to hit every shot "blindly". Federer never once looks at the target court, his sense of the court size and his position when hitting dictate whether the shot is in or not, not his vision.
Il va nous manquer…il est fluide, aérien…le Chopin, le Mozart du tennis… je n’arrive plus à regarder le tennis actuellement qui est stéréotypé et à deux mains… aucune magie et juste défendre et taper fort.
Never noticed how light on his toes he is until watching the slow motion. Great foot movement.
A god among men. The precision, fluidity, and effortlessness. Nobody will ever measure up to him
only 2 dudes have been blessed with this pure, effortless, breathtaking aesthetic swing in sports. RF and Fred Couples. Pure beauty
Thank you so so much Florian. Roger's the best slomo I've seen, ever. Looking forward to see more of his actions on court.
Very graceful and elegant movement.
Poetry in motion 🪄✔️💫
The elegance... the sophistication... the artistry... it can only be enjoyed with some fava beans and a nice Chianti.
I hope u dont eat human flesh
Thanks Florian! Satie and Federer. Fluidity and poetry by two geniuses. What a treat!
What a soothing video!
Nothing else but Class and Excellence at its best
Elegantly movement in tennis. Nobody does, only Roger !
Thanks a lot Florian, R is fantastic (music is really impressive), this slow motion compilation allows to look at all Federer magic weapons

His arm is just like a loose rolled up towel for forehand and backhand shots.
Thanks Florian, for making TH-cam unbearable with your saturation TH-cam adverts (not). PS/ You sound strange.
How does Roger get the ball to go a little to the left? Watching thing videos it appears he releases the ball slightly above eye level.
Angle of the racket at contact
Nice video
Watch this before you go to bed to imprint smooth perfection!

Tomkaten it's true that Federer and Nadal hit blind. But it's not necessary Murray and Djokovic don't hit blind for example.
