My track was first on soundclick.I then uploaded it to youtube two years later. A while later i noticed there was an ad before the music, so i knew something was up. When looking into it i saw cdbaby had claimed the track. The artist had just downloaded my mp3 track and used it on their album. So, if it wasnt for the youtube bots scanning the youtube content, and cdbaby claiming it, i would never know the guy stole my track.
So, then i had to write a DMCA takedown notice, with a link to my original upload and the infringing artist page. I told them to take it down or i would take legal action, and it was removed within a few hours.
Yes, this was similar to what happened to me, and I did a similar take down notice, but I also contacted the thief directly, over social media- I think they deleted the track before the takedown notice took effect
Big fan! I encourage you to spend the time doing some of your own music. You are at the point that everything has come together in playing. But, soon enough, unfortunately!, you become an old man screaming at kids on your lawn. You'll treasure the things you created personally (imho) more than the ongoing work. Just some perspective from an old guy.

Oh Pete That new Pete Thorn guitar is exactly like yours with parts all I hope? I notice that yours has cut outs for the Floyd and D Tuna (hard to see on the videos) and you said something about titanium parts on the Floyd.

Pete, unfortunately I had to hop from the livestream before you mentioned Otoboke Beaver in reference to my comment about Japanese bands. Yes, I love them too. I saw them live in March, and they are so crazy (in a good way) and so much fun. They'll be opening some shows for the Red Hot Chili Peppers this summer.

Pete, Sorry I missed your show today I was at the Dallas Guitar Festival. Thanks for letting me know about your Suhr guitar release with the d tuna Floyd. I wonder how long it will take to get it after ordering on Friday. I am originally from the Huntington Beach area and noticed Suhr is in Lake Elsinore. Nice !!

@@PeteThorn Coming from the Fountain Valley/HB area to Elsinore is a long trip and the 91 during rush hour in Anaheim Hills area is a pain. Your coming from LA I hope you bring company or have some good tunes for the drive!!
