Great videos on anaemia... Thank you so much for making things easier... Please upload one on Macrocytic anemia and one on Normoytic... That will really be helpful.
good presentation but too your other vids are too scattered, please do one presentation for macro, one for norm and one for micro, and then one just for destruction anemias.
I think the concentration is the same if you divide the cell in two. Say the volume is 1 dm3 in the big ones. The concentration is 4Hb/dm3 in the sick large one and on the small ones 2/0.5dm3=4Hb/dm3. Instead i think that during the extra cell divison Hb-production is still going on so in your example 2 more Hb molecules are produced. The small ones then get 3Hb/0.5dm3=6Hb/dm3 like the healthy big one and then stop dividing (becoming a reticulocyte)
Anaemia, as defined by WHO, is not too few RBCs but rather a reduction of haemoglobin below normal ranges for the individual. Other than that this is a very useful revision tool :)
Lead causes sideroblastic anemia at the same time increases the level of protoporphyrin. In the video you mentioned "if the body has difficult time making protoporphyrin, it results in sideroblastic anemia". can you please explain this
?i have a question, first of all, why a small RBC it's a problem for the patient ?and the second question if we do the extra division so why we end up with a lesser RBC
small rbcs carry few oxygen because of hemoglobin inside it is few aswell, which may lead to hypoxia and eventually death to the patient. simple as that.
+Bùi Xuân Bảo Danh The "extra division" of the RBC decreases its size, so it doesn't need as much Hb in it to be considered "full" - the concentration increased.
There is not an actual cell division. The cells are made smaller as they are being produced in the bone marrow because of the decreased amount of hemoglobin. If the cells were dividing to accommodate the lower amount of hemoglobin, then there would be an increased RBC count.
@@sherylschloss2280what is the treatment for this problem and did iron pills work for this or I have to avoide iron pills my doctor give me iron pills but I am confused some say iron pills were good some say don't eat iron pills in this problem any suggestion if you have any idea. About that?
Great video on anemia thank you very much. May i ask u a question: You said microcytic anemia is all about a problem in making hemoglobin; so my question is how a sideroblastic anemia could be a problem in making a protoporphyrin part..? Please make it clear for me beacause my teacher told me that it's a condition that the body has enough iron but the cell can't use that iron so im confused plse help me.
i dont mean to be off topic but does someone know a tool to log back into an Instagram account?? I was dumb forgot my password. I would appreciate any assistance you can offer me
@Merrick Miller Thanks so much for your reply. I got to the site thru google and im waiting for the hacking stuff atm. I see it takes quite some time so I will reply here later with my results.
Everything is good except for the fact that u keep on saying the same thing twice over.. It gets to ur nerves as we keep on listening.. So kindly avoid that.. Otherwise very good presentation made evrything so simple
please don't say everything twice...."the first is heme, the first is hemoglobin"..."the thala, the thalassemias, the thalassemias" ....otherwise good job
I was about to comment the same thing. I had to put my speed on 1.5 because I felt like a lot of time was spent waiting for a word to be written, and during that time the word would be repeated 3 times. I'd suggest post production speeding up the portions where we're waiting for the handwriting to complete, or I notice some of your colleagues in other videos just continue with the concept they're talking about while finishing the writing.

this is simple,informative and everything that I need to know.Thanks
VERY GREAT VIDEO. I could say this video helped a lot. Thanks for the amazing content!
Simply excellent. Very grateful for clear, concise and well presented video. Thank you for the great channel. 13/8/2018 😊
This is excellent presentation.Its a clearer understanding of anaemia
You explained this to me better than my doctor. I left her office confused so...thanks a bunch.
How are you now?
Thank you so much sooo much you really help me to understand in simple way I love you ❤️❤️
I suffer from microcytic anemia and never has any dr explained it to me. This was an excellent explanation.
How are you now?
Same
Really good way of explanation thanks alot👍👍👍👍👍👍

Daniel Jahn yes I felt the same
Me too

Thanks for a nice video. i like the way you make it simple, you hv a nice voice too

not just heamoglobin. anaemia is qualitative and/or quantitative reduction in haemoglobin or RBCs or both
Thanks doctor
Great effort.
Thanks for v.good easy to understand way in explanation.
very well. and thanxxxx for uploading
Thank you you are a great teacher

Love ur videos n voice,can you make some more hematology videos please,thxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
thank you
In book it is given that protein deficiency leads to hypochromic "macrocytic" anemia.
It shouldn't be microcytic instead of macrocytic
Perfect.
Very very good presentation 👏🏼 I’ve always mixed them up 😅 But I’ve really understood it all .. Thank youu for your efforts and good teaching 💓
great video
well defined about microcytic anemia! but I confuse about the term abbreviation for hemoglobin whether is it Hb or Hg. thanks
Perfect
After revision lecture starts at 2:48
can you please make a video on siderobalstic anemia.

@@A1010RABdo iron pills were good for this problem or we have to avoide it ?
Nice presented
Hb= Hemoglobin
Hg= Hemogram (test)
Hgb=Hemoglobin
What about hypchromic microcytic anemia
Thanks khanacademy ! :) please take my like
You mentioned of RBCs undergoes an “extra division”. Will you please tell me in a molecular basis on how was this possible?
sir your way of teching is so much good that one can easily understand

person suffered by microcytic hypochromic anemia can be curable successfully ?
Damn, its allgood, theres someone drilling in the background tho
