SDL UARC 2021

In 1996, the Department of Defense (DoD) established University Affiliated Research Centers, or UARCs, to ensure that the DoD has rapid access to advanced engineering solutions and critical technologies vital to national security. At that time, Utah State University Space Dynamics Laboratory was named one of the original six DoD UARCs, with the Missile Defense Agency as its sponsor. In 2021, SDL celebrated 25 years as a UARC and is currently one of 14 DoD UARCs in the nation.
