If you know Mr Wagberg from premier driving school, then I suggest taking your road test with him. He doesn't fail you for messing up on the little things. I have been practicing for weeks leading up to my test tmw and while I have gotten much more comfortable with the maneuvers my self doubt is making me feel less confident. That is not the attitude I want to have going in and this just gave me the reassurance I need. ❤️

Are there any special tips for someone who has a bit of a longer vehicle? I know you're allowed some space while parallel parking, but the backing up into a simulated driveway is what makes me a little nervous. And are you allowed to bump the cones without failing?

If you would like to get no points off you need to be completely within the cones box (3 actual lines and 1 imaginary line). The continuation lines (we like to call that the "done box") are approximately 2 feet bigger that the space on all four sides. If you are within the continuation lines but NOT all the way in the cones you will get -1 for your final position, but that is no big deal. If you are not within the continuation lines you will be asked to continue until you are at least within that "done box". Remember, you don't have to be perfect or pretty...just -6 or less to pass the parking lot! Good luck on your test

If my engine light is on in my car will they fail me? There’s nothing wrong with the engine, we got it checked out, it’s just the light and idk how to turn it off.
I'm taking my road skills test tomorrow as a british immigrant and this does help ease my nerves quite a bit! Since people were asking when they should start banking left for parallel parking, I was advised to bank left when the car is about a 45 degree angle from the curb. Think it depends on your vehicle though, my jeep has VERY sharp steering.
