- The evictions are part of a new policy the city crafted with the Legal Aid Society and homeless advocates that allows migrants to claim a shelter bed for only 30 or 60 days. CBS New York's Marcia Kramer reports.

My parents immigrated to the US in the 1980s. They started a business. They employed natural born citizens and other immigrants. They showed up with a plan..not to live off of the taxpayer.

These people show up in a country with no plan of how they'll support themselves, some with no contacts of ready support in this country - this makes me angry. They expect the American people to provide a job and housing. This is messed up.

When the Ukranians came after the war, they settled mainly in Chicago and the Midwest. THEY had a support system. They had family & friends, including the Polish who took them in. The Venezuelans and the Africans don't have that support system.

Where are legal advocates for NYC residents who face eviction in record numbers due high rent and why are NYC residents paying for migrants to be sent to other city's is the country while most NYC resident cannot afford subway ticket its been two years with migrants staying in hotel for a year some while if migrants have jobs they should find a place to live these migrants are now NYC dependents we just want to know if we can claim them on our taxes as we provided them with free food, free housing, free medical care, free education, free job training no wonder these migrant dont want a job when they can milk the system. Cuomo is running for mayor we need a mayor who as no nonsense approach to running the city as this one is more concern about migrants than NYC resident who he was elected to serve.😂😂😂😂😂
