I was at Guitar Center today and sat down with this thing for a few minutes. Wow, what a lovely little surprise. I've been looking for a new acoustic ever since I had to sell my old Washburn years ago and thought I had to have a dreadnought. After playing this concert I have completely changed my mind. It was extremely comfortable and sounded great. The whiskey burst color was amazing. I fell in love. Too bad $649.99 is more to some than others. I loved it enough if I had the $200 I would have bought the cheaper Breedlove that was on sale today. I'm a believer. Great guitars.

I have the same model of guitar. It sounds and plays fantastic, I couldn't be happier with it. Mine has a much lighter color though, with a shade of pink in the brown of the wood that I really love. I paid almost 800€ for mine, but still well worth the price. I couldn't find it in France and had to order it from Germany. The downside is that it doesn't come with any gigbag or case. The dimensions are a bit odd which means it has proven difficult to find an affordable hard case. I'm carrying it around in a Dreadnought gigbag but still looking for the right case to fit. Any pointers welcome...

Really nice sounding guitar unplugged, and it looks very sharp too, this kind of sunburst on a mahogany top is really nice. And sustainability of the woods is also a definitive plus, especially in that price bracket. Cheers to the Breedlove team !
Its only downside for me is the pickup, from what I can judge from the sound, it is some sort of piezo, and to my ears, they always sound not that good. From what I can see on Breedlove website, it is not possible to have a guitar from the organic series without the pickup, which I find a little sad. At least, it seems from the photos on the website that their is not a big plastic preamp on the upper bout of the guitar (as in some older acoustic guitar systems), as the control are around the soundhole, I guess that if you want to change the pickup for a better one along the road, then it will not look bad (there is a small battery compartiment on the endpin of the guitar but I can live with that).

I too love the Breedlove shape and look. And their people have been terrific and responsive. I bought the Concert Solo for the sound port. I'm pretty sure I'll never own another acoustic without a sound port. Sound ports facing the player are waaaaay too good. I've cut, wrasped, sanded and finished some of my own sound ports. They all turned out looking and sounding great.
I have to Taylor‘s, their playability is awesome, do tell me how is the Play ability on this guitar?

The pickup sounds pretty terrible on the Whisky Burst model, but it actually sounds great on the natural model. Same guitar, same size, same wood....I prefer the darker color though, so it’s a tough call.

Judging by the difference between your mic and the onboard system I'd say that guitar would benefit from a TC BodyRez pedal. It might be the amp more than the pickup. I have a Breedlove Focus Maple. Sounds perfect through my Fender Acoustasonic Ultralight but when I play through my Fishman or Mesa Rosette, it really needs the BodyRez.

I like the sound of the onboard pickup myself.

You can really hear the compression they put on this audio lol! Im a big fan of modern affordables though, and also of Johns playing, naturally.

Dig the guitar. the new logo sorta kills it for me ....i get the marketing thing but still.
It sounded great- unplugged. Didn't like the plugged in at all. It sounded super buzzy. Slow playing shows it off best. I played one (unplugged) the other day- it was my favorite in the room - until they handed me a Legacy model. Whoa!

All made in China, except their “Oregon” series which I believe are made in their custom shop in Oregon. With a price to match.

I have the same guitar, and I can't make it sound anywhere close to how this guy plays.
IMO the electronics are not so sweet, very quacky!
I had that model. I loved playing it, but a tuning gear was defective. Breedlove customer service never responded to my concerns, so I returned the guitar. Poor customer service is a real turn off. I think that Breedlove is resting on the laurels earned from their custom guitars made in the USA. This series is not, it is made overseas and quality is not consistent.
