To those who serve Jesus he will say, I never knew you (Matthew 7:23): Many Christians think they will go to heaven, but many instead will hear Jesus say “I never knew you: depart from me.” The reason is because they believe in their hearts that Jesus is God, and they listen to the confirmations of man instead of listening to the words of God the Father spoken through Jesus Christ. They will come to Jesus saying, “Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in _your_ name have cast out devils? and in _your_ name done many wonderful works?” They believe he is God, even after his many warnings where he tells us to serve God only and not himself (Luke 4:8). Instead of becoming one with the will of the Father, they insist on believing the doctrines of man.
