  • The ST1300 is arguably one of the best bikes ever made but it was lacking in a bit of personality so I changed my silencers over to Delkevic DL10 350mm Round Carbon Fibre Silencers.

one day im approaching a ducati sitting at lights as they change i gun it past him i turn the corner and there is a police bike waiting to pull out looking the other way im going way to fast so brake hard suddenly i hear the ducati ripping it to catch up the officer hears it turns to look as the ducati comes round the corner and brakes hard at which point the officer pulls out behind him and pulls him over. sometimes quiet pipes are good i really like the sound and want a set i but think it would overpower my music in my helmet but the heat savings may be worth it

Wish you filmed even when riding, so we could hear the V4 singing at higher revs

I had a Yamaha XJ900S Diversion DX03XBK. Your bike is just one letter off. 2003 was the last year Yamaha made the 900 Diversion. It was a great bike, a true workhorse. Got it with 3,000 on the clock, used it till 113,000 miles. Still a lot of life left in it. Only gripe, could do with a taller top gear or better, a 6th gear. Now I have a PanEuropean.

Haha I can honestly say it sounds nothing like any lawn mover I've ever heard. But it works for me. Cheers for the comment.

Def a change in attitude, and not like a inline 4 cylinder. How did the MPG change after the newness wore off >>? LOL ...Thanks, yl

Havnt noticed a change in mpg, its not noisy enough that a car will hear you when filtering. Definitely get more feedback from the engine though. Before couldn't hear the engine at all so really difficult to figure out gear changes, although guy that had it before me had a gear indicator fitted. Personally i like to feel/hear the engine and keep my eyes on the road, rather than watch a rev counter. Gonna try without baffles when i get back riding again :-)

@@gritech1 Totally agree - I wish to change gears based on feedback which I just don't get when I ride the ST1300 (or worse my buddies Goldwing). It's not about making noise and I don't wish to piss off the neighbors or make anyone "look at me" - it's not an ego show or a battle about loud pipes saving lives which frankly I don't believe - it's about knowing what the motorcycle is doing intuitively while the operator can pay attention to far more important things! Order placed today and in stock here in Canada for delivery within a week! Amazing. Thanks for the video.

@@seansteedeSo which Delks did you get...? I'm just about to order some but don't know if the 14 inch ones will be too mid range and not deep bass enough for my liking.

Sometimes a noisier exhaust gives the false impression that the bike's faster. I personally prefer a quiet system.

Hi I didn't want a faster bike just a bit more personality and a bit of feedback from the engine when riding. The standard exhausts are so quiet its sometimes difficult to sense when to change gear. Probably why the previous owner put a gear indicator on it :-)
