    I appreciate your in-depth reviews, especially when I am spending a goodly sum. You
    were instrumental in getting me into Medford knives- I now have a Praetorian Genesis and two Ti knives - tanto and drop point. These are useful blades- at 79yrs. plastic packaging is hard to cut but I can still use them without gloves. The Strider AR .75 has too many sharp edges and I don't want the hassle. I enjoy all your reviews and commentaries. Thank you.

    Bought one on secondary market in S90V for $850. Worth the price for me. Love the heavy "beefiness" of Strider & Medford. Great video!

    Got one of these ordered. Been a while since I ordered a Strider. It’ll join my 2012 SnG.

      They made some nice striders right before they closed doors. 2012 was a good year. Then and later I got several amazing SNG’s that I miss like the double gunner grips, the CC and even the Lego. I had an amazing orange G10 with a PVD coating on the blade and frame that was so nice. My most missed is a Strider SMF TAD edition CC with digicam hollow spearpoint blade with a swedge. I really like the digicam blades.
      But hey at least today I got a SMF Mick custom with nightmare grind and groot handle finish.

      @@fnc5369 Nice! I ended up selling the .75 AR but still have my 2012 SnG DGG in CPM154. That will never leave.

    For that price I think they could have added a steel lockbar stabilizer. Titanium is softer than the blade steel and over time you will develop rock lock just like every Strider I've owned. Most high end knives have them and I dont see why it's not included in this knife especially at this price point.

    I'm willing to out up with 7oz for a knife that robust, good looking and carrying the names of two of the most prolific makers today.

    The AR and GB were linerlock precursors to the SMF and SNG and the buck/strider 880 colaboration was a close relative.

    I think it was meant to be carried in an OTW holster/pouch, not in a pocket.

    I love my ar .75 tanto. But I had no idea it was made at Medford. I would have wanted the information. But yeah, it's a beast!

    I think many people have a bigger issue with Greg Medford himself than the quality of his knives. I recommend people check out Alchemy_1's video about this here on TH-cam. I think he has a pretty measured take on the situation.

    • @metal_complex
      @metal_complex  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Sure. And I get it. I'm just in it for the knives. The politics, the drama, the dumpster fires etc... whatever. Drama is plentiful. I just don't care about it.

    • @journeymanedc
      @journeymanedc 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@metal_complex I can understand your perspective. For many people, myself included, it's hard to separate the knife from the maker. When I make a knife purchase (especially an expensive one), I'm buying into both. Its not so much about drama for me. I just feel that the quality of the person making the knife is just as important as the quality of the knife itself. That's going to matter to some people more than others. I don't think there's anything wrong with feeling either way. 🍻

    If somebody told me that a Strider SnG and a Medfort Marauder got together and had really drunk and really angry sex and a love-child was conceived, a bastard out of wedlock but unbeknownst to us sinners secretly loved by God, that would be this Knife

    This or the Praetorian Genesis T? If you had never held either, and had to buy one, which would it be?

    Would you choose this .75 AR over a Praetorian T? Or over a Genesis T?

    • @Bravo-Too-Much
      @Bravo-Too-Much 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Genesis drop point. The Strider looks better but I own both Praetorians you mentioned and they are perfect and smooth. I was stunned that my .75ar had such egregious lock stick. If you opened the knife with any force, it would stick so bad that I couldn’t actually open it with my thumb. You could actually hear the lock stick pop from like 15 feet away. Totally piss poor for a knife so expensive. I. Was shocked that it was made by Medford with such poor lock stick that never improved.

    I’d love to get a strider. So pricey but they seem very tough and useable yet aesthetically pleasing with solid materials. I just got the M4 benchmade bailout but I’m not feeling it. So I’m trying to sell it for what I have in it. 212 bones. Ordered the zt 0308. Hopefully someone will buy the bailout soon
