So probably 7-10,000 troops, at least, are involved. How many of them are inside russia we can't know. But the front is now over 30-40 km wide and 10-20 km deep, with UA forward units on day 3 having annihalated a RU truck convoy a whole 42 km into RU terriitory, so the number of troops must be substantial.

This morning voting took place in the Kursk Oblast asking residents whether they wished to remain part of The Russian Federation, or, become part of The Republic of Ukraine. Using the international standard "ruzzianwarshipgofúckyourself electoral counting method", 94% of Kursk residents have indicated their desire to secede from Moscow's rule and join the Republic of Ukraine.
In a news conference, President Zelensky congratulated the Mayor of Kursk and warmly welcomed the region's residents to The Republic of Ukraine. The president also expressed his expectation that the same opportunity will soon be afforded to other districts of The Russian Federation though with no concrete roll-out time. However, Zelensky believes St. Petersburg and Moscow could well be offered the vote before the end of the year.
