Ok Benji, I’m curious. In the US, you are always very vigilant about purchasing food that’s organic, grass fed, no fake dyes or artificial ingredients. But you haven’t spoke much to those concerns in Japan. I understand standards for food quality are different, but is it like that for ALL foods there? Like the juices, cutesy cakes, or snacks you guys indulge in? I know when it’s a vacation, things are a little more relaxed than back at home. But I’m just curious if Japanese packaging signifies if things are organic or doesn’t include artificial ingredients.

I'm new here. Do you travel with someone who shows you around like a tour guide or is the woman with the camera in the part where you were at the farm/ bbq place your wife?
I’m surprised you haven’t done fried veggies in egg mixture yet for the fam. I’d have to say a good amount of packaged snacks I’ve had and seen at other Asian markets ie Vietnamese markets. Not strictly just Japanese stores.

@@charrio2 what do you mean? all the food videos are his.. some few seconds usually overlap with the daily vlogs but it's totally fine. it's just this one video that's a bit too long and repetitive haha

Speaking of rice/paddy field, I heard from Only in Japan (John Daub) that there’s currently a rice shortage for the people of Japan. One reason is that much of the rice is going towards feeding tourists since this year, there has been an influx of tourists. There’s empty shelves in Tokyo supermarkets and they’re asking residents to not hoard rice.
A couple of other factors too. The last rice crop was small due to weather and people did hoard after hearing about the mega quake news and the typhoon. I was at Donki yesterday and the place where rice is normally, there was a different display.
I dont really care where I watch as long as I see them. So i aint complaining.
Also, judy is not with them in this japan vlog so make sense for benji to post it instead.

It’s a big help when you have a nanny( Benji’s sister) and Benji’s parents to help anytime they need it.
Thank you. It’s a daily grind. Definitely a must to have family support. Wouldn’t want it any other way.
