I own the 14.5 Aspire top spec Australian PHEV. After 12 months of ownership I'm overall happy with it. Brilliant city car and return extremely good economy in heavy traffic. After owning 2 Prius's for many years this was the logical next step. Not sorry I committed to it. Car isn't perfect but very versatile and nothing else like it available here.
One of the coolest 'vlog' styled review ever... especially the intro was bold. Having been lived in Korea, it can get extremely busy and packed with people in the streets, so to set down a camera and stand in the way to film is pretty darn cool. I would say 'subscribed!' but already am!
no its not...they kill whales by the hundreds to feed their need of seafood, they have a high rate or single moms and even the employer will tell them directly if they are going to quit because they are going to have a child, they have a high suicide rate, most are racist against ANYONE who is not Japanese, most hate tourist, they have a show that has a Japanese man on a island but paints his face brown to depict a African American man, and they have signs outside businesses saying no chinese people allowed in their stores. The cars may be reliable as I have a 2018 Mitsubishi Outlander GT, but as for everything else...thats where things end of how great Japan is...
You did not mention that Mitsubishi also makes steam generators for nuclear power plants. The turbine they sold to California several years ago was made not to spec, with some gross missteps, and this steam generator is the major reason the San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station is being decommissioned now. Thank you, Mitsubishi.
Our family hauler is a 2015 Outlander and have owned Mitsu's in the past despite my passion for everything Honda. I will never understand with all the resources this company has, why can it not turn around its North American car operations? The powertrains on its vehicles are well over a decade old not to mention its crumbling dealer network. If Mazda, much much smaller a company, can offer state of the art automobiles and a dedicated sports car platform (expensive!) than Mitsu certainly can. It really is a shame. Our Outlander is a fine SUV albeit a little rough around the edges. Mitsu has so much potential with its automotive division. It truly needs someone at the helm that can make a plan and execute it immediately.
Nice video, thank you. Beeing a PHEV 2016 driver since december 2015 i wonder if the 60km electric range mentioned in the video is real world driving in an experimental new PHEV with bigger battery pack or if it still is the same "small" 12kWh battery pack? In my experience real world EV range with the 12kWh battery is at best only around 25-35km! Especially when it is coldish (-5 to +5 degrees celsius), i can tell from my own experience that when it is -10 to -20 degress celsius the PHEV goes 100% PETROL
When very cold the Outlander PHEV refuses to run on battery despite having been on scheduled 30 minutes preheat! (which also eats away on battery range since the cabin heater draws more power than it can charge with normal 10Ah socket). Unfortunally this car is a poor excuse for 4WD, look for my video "MITSUBISHI OUTLANDER PHEV 4WD TRACTION CONTROL -NOT!" and you will see what i mean. If you are planning to use as a towing vehicle for caravan or boat trailer, take my advice and look for another car. Anyways, you have a new subscriber. Keep up the good work. :-)
Very nice review! I have a question. at 5:18 you see frontal OUTLANDER model name which is cool i reckon, do you know what models/trims have this frontal badge ? Thanks!
It takes a lot more than just a plug in hybrid EV SUV to bring back the good old glory days of MMC (now part of the Nissan Renault alliance). Let's see.
I'm surprised Mitsubishi is such a giant automaker in the world. Unlike the past, I find today's Mitsubishi cars don't compete well with its domestic Japanese rivals.
I know you get the gears for this all the time, but did you ask how they pronounce "Mazda"? I head there once a year and know that it's really not important. What is important is that you found out so much about companies like Mitsubishi (Heavy and otherwise) that this side of the planet has no clue about. Important and cool right??

I've seen many of your videos, I'm glad you give Mitsubishi some recognition.

My first comment on any of your videos cos this was truly AMAZING, Canada is proud of you Zack! I will wait for more like this.
great video and finally giving respect to Mitsubishi which people in NA think is a small company.
Great seating room inside the rear seat middle and comfortable that is why it is so popular.
Japan is a great country

Wherever your from has its downsides, and in some people's eyes, could be worse than Japan.
Not anymore. It is now filled with chinese, brown southeast asians, loser whites from all over the world.
I'm waiting to Mitsubishi Outlander from Canada. :)
Interesting video with great production value!
Really like the way u describe cars 👍🏻👍🏻
Great video as always
Nice work Zack
I wish this could come sooner to north america...
Quiet informative video! Thank you!
Awesome video. I love Japan!
sub to this channel is one of the best thing I've done in my 26 years on this planet.

Very cool! Thanks
Japanese people walking by are like "Get out of the way Gaijin"
.... still waiting for the PHEV. Hope by that time it will also increase the distance travel of the battery or becomes pure electric Outlander.
What a build up mitshubshi ground torrer is also best so like it to mitshubshi
WooW Good Job ;) You Rock Man
I wish I could see you since I am living in Tokyo...

U.K versions got that frontal badge.
Does the new outlander phev have self parking or was that a test demo?
Demo
But is it something you would buy with your own money Zack?
I love Japan from my hart
its so bad that 2021 PHEV have no remote control for app use.

Shame they haven't fixed the BMU software in their PHEV.
Power by ralliart
There is a problem in the EV Range. And Mitsubishi chose to ignore it.
the future is in mass transit like Japan's high speed trains NOT on cars or electric vehicles

matsuda (i thinks)
The 3rd row needs more engineering. or just remove it and reduce the price.
#LTACY #Salomondrin hahahaha
FML one company in Japan 🇯🇵 equals half of Canada’s GDP 🙄
