Thanks for the in depth explanation. I'm not a motorcyclist, yet, but ever since I started noticing Enfield Bullets the last few years (mostly in movies) I've really wanted one. They are really cool bikes but I wasn't sure which one to consider buying, older CI or UCE.
Having driven the modern UCE Bullets as well as the older CI Bullets I will take the modern ones any day. Especially the EFI engines on my current Enfield Thunderbird 500 is a dream to start any day even after been parked for days in the garage. It is one thing to have a bone tingling thump and another to break your bones trying to get the bullet to start. Further with addition of prooer mods like RRP exhausts, I have been revving my Bullet for last 3-4 years without any problem or damage. Have done no tweaking/rework on the engine.
Brother, Excellent review and it is 100 percent correct what you are saying. It is very good information to bullet lovers.I owned a old bullet model 2004 with heavy crank . My bullet gives me a good riding feel at all times. Once again I am very thankful to you dear brother for giving good information with regards to the great legend old bullet.

Bro, always there is no match for an old bullet.. Definitely my vote goes to an old one.. In future there is more possibilities to ban the old vehicles that are more than 15yrs..
A few important queries 1) according to the scrappage policy, if the old motorcycle is in a mint condition and can pass the fitness, it will be allowed on the roads, so my question is will the old CI bullets pass the fitness?? 2) will the necessary spares(i am not talking about the vintage spares) like piston, valves, block will be available in future?? Also will they be available at normal rates or will they cost a bomb?? 3) I did not understand how the regular maintenance of a cast iron is less than UCE?? The 1 rupee per km... Can you elaborate it.
Bro, First of all Thanks for ur comments... 1) Bro, there are lot of Old CI Bullets still doing Great on Roads and lot of Old Cast Irons still doing Ladakh Successfully. Bro, Do u think these Bikes have not passed the Fitness Certificate??? 2) In Chennai(Velachery), there is a separate Royal Enfield Showroom for Vintage Bullets. They only sell the Old Vehicles with some warranties so No issues in getting the Old Spares.... 3) Bro, Do u own an UCE machine.. If yes then what's the Maintenance cost u r spending for each Service..

But wish to know about the maintenance of both old and new bullets in detail bcoz I am still deciding which to buy.. My heart is in the old one.
Hi bro i am confused I am planning to buy a bullet next month I have two options One is bullet 350 bs6 as available in showroom And another a retired colonel bullet 350 1990 in good condition all stock Which is better for me i dont mind low mileage and frequent maintanance of my bike i just want a real enfield
Bro, In a new RE u cant get the Bullet feel. If u really wanted to feel the real bullet then go for a Heavily cranked G2 Bullets (or) early B1 models.. Consider this 1990 model as a last choice..
