Should have been sentenced to life without the possibility of parole. Just because he failed to kill her shouldn't get him a lighter sentence.

Deserae, You are such a mature, strong, beautiful young woman who has a very bright future ahead of her. I admire your courage, your will to survive, your undeniable faith and kind, loving heart. Your parents have done a fine job in raising such a bright, promising young woman. I pray for your continued strength and courage to overcome all that has been brought and done to you. I know you will get through this and come out a stronger woman who will help SO many others, just by being you. Stay true to yourself and never lose sight of how amazing you truly are. They meant for her to be dead. They should never get the chance at life outside prison. The thought of them being out at around 30years old is sickening

Thats a disgracefully short sentence, the judge should be questioned and just for the record if this was a black girl there would be riots and the perpetrators would of got life without parole! Just stating a hard to swallow fact! ✌🏻♥️
No, if the perpetrators were black, BLM and radical leftists would scream racism and riot to have them released and claim they were framed/innocent.

she was sending one of the two guys messages on snapchat and he found that annoying so the other gy who wasnt getting messaged suggested that they kill her
God bless Desarae! Jazon and Colton should have received more than 15 years is a joke. They will get out in 8 years and become serial killers. They are sociopaths.....So sad. They need to update maximum sentences. This was premeditated.... thank God she survived. Such a good soul. Her life will never be the same

The father is not a trained public speaker and relying on notes is probably the best way for him to remember what to say as he might not possess the public speaking skills that you probably do. This is a tragedy of immense proportions.
