The more I look at D/D/D, the more I find it fitting that Reiji was the one to use it in the anime. One has to be able to manage a corporation, duel school, and a force against terrorists from alternate dimensions simultaneously to truly understand this deck.

To those unfamilar with D/D, I suggest a course in classical literature. You find out about the meanings behind the names of the cards, you learn the patience to read the large bodies of text you will encounter, and most importantly, build about 1/600th of the brainpower neccessary to play them.

My favorite thing about this deck is the pure TENACITY it has. After one duel against it, my brother said to me, "I destroyed your board, but you just kept bringing them back. Like, just stay down!" Well I ain't hear no bell, so run them life points.
The real reason why D/D/D is 10 Mio IQ deck is not because of the combo but rather the mindgames you play on your opponent to make them surrender instead of watching you make your 15 minute combo
D/D/D Chads await the day we get the D/D/D Ritual monster we deserve so we can own every summoning method. Odd eyes got the very first ritual pendulum monster so it is not impossible.
Fun fact: in duel links they made a skill that ment to work with D/D/D in which you skip your own standby phase so you won't take damage however the skill is not once per duel and gives you free floodgates with no cost
D/D/D is my favorite deck in the game but I don't know all the combos cuz there are so many possibilities. Bought the cards irl and really wanna make the deck in Master Duel too to duel with. I'm glad that I'm seeing more people play it recently :D

Kinda prefer the Pure variant now over the synchro build, even without BACH. D/D/D doesn't really have to lock the opponent fully out of the game, it just needs to survive turn 2 to then go nuts with all its hopt effects being live again. Also contract with eternal darkness is very funny with how much stupid stuff it stops. Bricked a library ftk player because he couldn't equip bamboo swords.
When I played D/D/D in Legacy of the Duelist, Eternal Darkness was one of my first cuts, but now with Gilgamesh, if I can drop a Eternal Darkness, it's usually a pretty nice lock
The amount of Kali Yuga cutting I'm seeing is crazy it's like an instant win versus back row. Surprised you could fit that many hand traps, I found it becomes so much that I had to run more DDD cards, I think I pretty much just played dark rulers to hose people if I did end up second
Kali Yuga is incredibly dogshit. How are you getting 2 Lv8s on the field against backrow? But yeah Synchro build kinda sucks since you combo only to lost to 1 handtrap or droplet/drmn. Pure variant at least has room for interaction and can follow up as long as it survives a turn. Also mostly 2 card combos and 1 card combo when we get BACH.

I'm not a fan of the synchro build it limits your plays to much using it as a pendulum deck first that assist in extra deck summoning. This does actually kinda leave the deck weak in synchro but honestly it just plays better and doesn't put all your eggs in one basket.
Its easy to spam rank 8s i usually run 2 Go! When u bring out with gilgamesh so that u can normal without tribute any ragnas or tomas in ur hand the pop other pendulum moster to bring out another level 8 from ur deck
I've made a more pure d/d deck and learned to play as i went along. It's pretty hard, i still discover new plays to make but it's versatility is what keeps the deck interesting. I really recommend it.
As Farfa said that Syria is a war zone, he ain't wrong. It is impressive to find a syrian player who plays an archetype that takes a lot of time and will power to learn.

Obv you do that in the new variant as a part of the 1 card combo, but ddd is the definition of all roads lead to the same endboard.

Not much difference between the synchro negate board and Big Caesar, Siegfried and Contract with Eternal darkness except that one of the 2 decks can run handtraps and only need 2 cards to make their play. But when people say that MR4 fucked D/D/D they mean that you had to make a link 2 before you could do anything and for the first 2 years of MR4 the link monsters were complete dogshit or unsummonable. Good luck doing any of the alexander 2x ghenghis plays with 1 EMZ.

Funny thing is, it's literally the only deck I know how to play. When I first found out about YGOPRO, I checked TH-cam to find a deck to play and while watching some videos I cam accross a DDD video. Lamia was not even a thing back then. I thing Lightsworn or Shaddols were the meta and I enjoyed playing DDDs a lot more than them. To this day, it's the only deck I play.
In my own experience when I first played D/D/D (back when Arc-V anime was still starting off, I first played D/D/D on Tag Force Special) I built an all rounder D/D/D deck that focuses both on Fusion,Synchro,Xyz and Pendulum that I heavily inspired from the anime which is having the 3 copy of Armageddon as my Main Boss, this had taught me to use my resource wisely because one wrong move would be hard for you to play smoothly. To my suprise it works out pretty nicely but of course like the one qoute from the YGO series, "every deck has a weakness" and for D/D/D interuption and resource destroyer cards/decks would be the worst enemy of this deck. I'll find my decklist for it, I'll be back.
I built something that Deviant Yugioh made before he deleted his channel in Tag Force Special and I thought that was fun because access to Fiend Synchros. Crazy to see how much the deck has evolved and how many cards of support it had.
I personally play a pure D/D/D deck, but I recently added some hand traps. (Maxx C and ghost girls) also I added the crush card virus. Seems useful for a deck of all dark type.

Been playing Dan's Decent Deals for years, didn't know until recently it's considered a complex deck. Now I don't feel bad for not being able to play this deck at the speed of light. Though I must say, the idea that we are smart players is very wrong, just distract us while we're sitting there thinking of combo's and we'll forget everything and start thinking all over in our head from the start.
As a D/D/D player this makes me happy i've always loved this deck and was my very first deck coming into yugioh, I'm curious what was your guys first deck?

Well, this video is a prine example of why you should never scoop immediately after getting stuffed or misplaying. Sometimes all it takes is resolving one thing against someone in a similar position to scare them out of playing the game.
If you really want your brain to turn to mush faster, use my Za Warudo Turbo deck, it's insanely expensive to build, and its playability is a coin flip
Pre-Bach D/D/D isn't that playable. I had to take a break after not being able to play because I didn't open some combination of lamia, swirl, and necro. Im addition to drawing one of my 1 offs and having to play around it. At least now we have 1-2 card combos now.
You can play the Bach variant already. Just instead of patent license you use eternal darkness as your floodgate. Doesn't have the 1 card combo or headhunt but its more playable than the synchro build.
The funniest thing is that last time I climbed all 5 wins in gold 1 to climb to platinum 5... Because people surrendered or disconnected when I banished harp horror

The naming for D/D/D is real weird if I recall. In the sub they just say that it stands for "Different Dimension Daemon", while in the dub I believe they just skip over that entire dialog (It's been a while since I watched Arc-V so this might be incorrect). So by a technicality, I guess D/D/D in the TCG could be anything you want it to be.

Irl is easier than master duel because the current best version (pure) is kinda mid-range deck now
The new suppprt makes the combos easier , hopefully they come as soon as possible in master duel
The new support makes it a lot less combo heavy, sure you can play the spreadsheet version, bit that isn't the best build with the current pool

You can play the Bach variant already. Just instead of patent license you use eternal darkness as your floodgate.
Doesn't have the 1 card combo or headhunt but its more playable than the synchro build.

I genuinely just enjoy playing high IQ decks even if it might do less than some other decks realistically, it just feels rewarding.
The funniest thing is that last time I climbed all 5 wins in gold 1 to climb to platinum 5... Because people surrendered or disconnected when I banished harp horror

As someone who has used D/D fro about 5 years, I definitely feel smarter with every successful combo

And now do it in the tcg, where the deck actually has access to a decent endboard that does something unique (seriously, the field-spell is so cool)
Once I was playing Endymion and pot banished all my 5 level 7 monsters...
It looks intimidating but you can count the negates and play trough it with a good enough deck.
This is every format except Duel Links as in that game it's just a Monkey deck that uses a skill to do everything

As a DDD main, forfeiting before I finish my combo never happened to me while I play DDD
The naming for D/D/D is real weird if I recall. In the sub they just say that it stands for "Different Dimension Daemon", while in the dub I believe they just skip over that entire dialog (It's been a while since I watched Arc-V so this might be incorrect).
So by a technicality, I guess D/D/D in the TCG could be anything you want it to be.
The dub does mention that ddd stands for different dimention demons
