I've purchased Casebot covers for all of my remotes. I like them because they have a flat bottom which prevents the remote from rocking if it is on a flat surface like a coffee table, or even the arm of your chair or sofa.
It's alive and well. There's just some extra hoops you need to jump through that I can't talk about much here. Look to my Rumble Channel (of the same name) for a video coming soon.

I've had the 4k max gen 1 about a year and a half. Didn't realize there was an app in the Google store, to add a remote on my phone. Back on idea one, I got the cable to add a thumb drive, and like that.
Sometimes the cache is helpful especially for highly used apps as cache is stored to be just that cache which will help in loading speeds of your highly used apps as cache is needed to run the apps so if you clear it often you'll have to re-download the cache which will take more time opening
Do you have a instruction video on using a USB flash drive to record using tivimate. Both just using it for recording and also to format to internal storage
@cordcutterli Would you be able to answer this for me please. If I run the otg cable with multiple USB ports will that otg be powerful enough to fully power the firestick 4kmax 2nd gen? I know some people have power issues if using an aftermarket charging block or cord and I've been affected by this in the past. I don't want to buy the otg/usb adapter if I'll run into those types of issues. Can you please confirm that you've been able to run successfully this usb/otg cable with both a keyboard along with extra storage.
Great question.. Yes, the stock power adapter can handle the power needed for a USB keyboard and/or mouse plus a USB thumb drive for additional storage. Instead of getting a OTG cable with multiple USB ports, if that even exists, I'd suggest getting the uGreen USB hub, from the link in the description. I would NOT add a USB hard drive (spinning disk inside) because that will use way too much power. Thanks for sharing your question. Hopefully this will help others who may not have asked. 👍
Could you provide a link to the gigabyte Ethernet USB splitter device you used? I bought a similar one and it did not allow me to use both USB memory and ethernet on my fire stick. And in fact , no lights on the ethernet went on so not sure if my splitting device was just defective.
@@CordCuttersLI it’s weird though, maybe it’s the version of fire stick that I have, but when I plug in the device you recommended, the lights don’t come on and I don’t have access to the USB stick or the network. Perhaps it’s the TV that I have, confusing. It works fine if I plug it into the USB three port on my laptop.
Since the RD thing, the crew is still working (for me) on the K app version 21.1, but I have a couple of friends that is stopped working for. For them, I helped them install "Umbrella" but because of the RD thing, also needed to add the CocoScrapers Module. wow, really? I had a similar issue with my ISP blocking ME from getting to my own website. Would you be so kind as try using a VPN and see if you can get to it? That worked for me. I think some ISP may be blocking people because of some the great apks I have there

When deleting cache, you can just hit the rewind button while scrolling the apps and it brings up the delete cache option for each one
