Just replaced mine ... best way is up ... just losen steering pump ... hoses are long enough to pry it out of the way.
Once steering pump is pushed away , it becomes easy to take out and oil-or-replace the tensioner.
Once you take out the MacPherson arm , you can access and take out the bracket ... and zipcut and replace that very stupid bolt.
Now I have to replace the solenoïd that seized while the car was waiting for the replacement of the seized alternator.
Well , my time is cheaper

The space is quite small because suzuki has 1.5 and 1.8 liter engine that most aerio equipped with. I think they first designed the car with those two engine in mind and then later on add the bigger engine option.

Excellent repair work and I, too love the piano background. Have you ever played Clare de Lume , or anything by Bo Harwood? Keep the videos coming. I love the variety.
Just done mine the easiest way of removing the alternator is to undo the exhaust that way you end up with more room . Its a lot quicker than messing about with engine mounts.

quick question. How do I remove the 13mm bolts from the altenator if they're rusted or welded?? idk I CAN NOT get these loose. I even tried my drill almost took my hand off my arm. I thought maybe they are rusted but the spray didn't do anything. Can i iuse a drill bit and just tear them out of there?

This was a great video of Magic mike. The only complaint that I would have is I had trouble hearing your voice. Especially after you put the jump box on the car and I'm wearing headphones and I could hardly hear what you were saying
Is old alternator fixable?
Yes alternators can be repaired but not cost/efficient relative to time required in North America, most of the time.
I have only changed one alternater once on all the motor vehicles l have ever owned the alternator was making a hell of a racket l thought tgere was something wrong with the engine the alternator was still charging so l just changed the alternator and noise went away
