  • The Pieterpad is one of the most famous long distance hiking paths of the Netherlands. It leads from Pieterburen to Maastricht (St Pietersberg) over almost 500km from North to South. In this video I show a couple of the resources helping you to plan your trip.
Here the link to my video about what to pack: • Unpacking my backpack ...

Thank you for the video....I wanted to ask if I will have any problems hiking with a buggy with my elderly dog?

Hi Shane. I think there will be parts that are challenging. A bridge on part 1, fences to climb in Drenthe (also in my walking video), a few more bridges here and there, sandy bits. All in all perhaps 10 problematic situations. Depending on your physical condition you can overcome these obsticals (lift the buggy), but be aware the challenges are there. Some of them you should be able to avoid by taking a different route on the spot, but not all. To avoid, ensure to take maps or GPS.

Hi Nice video, are the books in English or Dutch?

The guidebooks are, like their webpage, in Dutch. However, even with that they'll help if you do not have the GPS. I don't think that there is good English material, unfortunately.
