I disabled the fingerprint and it worked sucks because now i have to keep it disabled but is better than nothing, might swtich to iPhone after this 🤦🏽♂️. Thanks for the help!
You said that your issue was when your phone was dimming that it would shutoff, I'm having the same issue. My phone would dim, lock and then turn off and restart. However, you never mentioned how you solved your issue with the dimming or is it through all the methods you mentioned?
OMG, thank you, Ryan, so much.... I don't know what to say, you saved me. My S9 all of sudden started shutting off by its own. And I am puzzled and I fail to understand what's even happening. For once, I thought my phone came to life. LOL. Then I checked with many sites, none of their solutions worked and when I finally saw your video, the "Fingerprint scanner" just like Josephine Rosales's phone had, was the culprit. thank you very much you really are a phone savior. I thought my Samsung s9+ was dying,the reason was the third-party app, my (tiktok) was the one that keeps my phone shutting down. really I thank you 😭😭😭
My problem is when I open my samsung Phone 3 to 4 Mins it shutdown and restart after that waiting for another 3 to 4 mins to shuttingdown again like it happened 5 times or more than that and when i open safemode it doesn't restart or shutdown automatically and i cant find the issue and also there is a sign when my phone are gonna to shutdown or restart when the framedrop are happening its a sign that your phone will be restart or shutdown thats what problem i looking for and i want to fix this as soon as possible and I tried to factory reset this phone 3 times and nothing happen it keep restart and shutdown I use my phone 5y from now
I broke my whole f back screen trying to get the darn battery out. Now I see the video and turn off fingerprint and its not shutting down. Thanks for the video, but I'm pissed that I didn't watch this earlier. The whole thing from the back is cracked

the fingerprint sensor seemed to of been the issue with mine, it was malfunctioning ages ago and must of fully broken now since i have recently been having this issue and since turning it off, so far my phone seems to be working okay so ty for your help 👍
@@yoreacciono5658 you go to settings, then security, then it shows you all the different ones. Pin, fingerprint, etc. take fingerprint off only have a pin. Anything else takes memory, Power and in our case heats up and using it in the background.
@@yoreacciono5658 I found that keeping it simple works the best with phones, don’t use every security feature or hell all features. Just keep it simple and your phone will last a long time.

For me it was the tiktok app I dunno how the app could've been responsible for sudden death my phone lol😂 I quickly uninstalled it b4 my phone died and magically my phone is now running for another million years😂

Thanks for posting this my phone works again now. The battery was on limited function and had a option to shut down once it dims. This was on and I turned it off.

Water damage, hardware malfunction? If you have time try going through the steps in the video and see what works. If it looks like the phone battery life is dead when it shouldn't be it suggest that something is affecting the battery life reader (maybe the finger print scanner or the dimming function response. If those steps dont work try draining the battery fully by holding the power on button + the down volume button (hard reset)... hold this until the phone is completely dead to drain any last electricity (allows the phone to completely re awaken in some sort of electron level)

Hey bud, something similar happened to me recently. Try holding down the volume down button and the power button at the same time. Trick is to completely drain your battery then try charging it after. When this happened to me I wrapped 2 fishing lines around my phone to hold down both buttons, then let it sit for enough time to drain it. Then it was able to charge again

Thank you 🙏 it was the fingerprint sensor, started overheating and cutting off phone, all fixed 🙏

If not and if brand new see if you have any type of warranty on it. Call the manufacturer

Sorry for the reply, but not that I have discovered yet. Possibly a reformat may do the trick unless it is a physically issue.

Try turning it off.
Settings -> lock screen -> screen lock type -> at the bottom of this menu toggle fingerprint off (disable the scanner)
