The pancake hack was my favorite because I love pancakes, it's less messy, you can do art with it and it won't take up that much space in the fridge when you want to save for later
The reason of putting unsalted butter in coffee is that it causes a chemical reaction with the coffee when it’s mixed in. If I can recall correctly it slows down the instant burst of energy that you get from a regular cup of Joe. Instead of feeling really jittery from the caffeine early on and having a hard crash later on in the day the butter helps release the caffeine evenly throughout the day so you’ll still have the energy. This version of coffee is really popular in Ketogenic diet.
The pancake mix squeeze bottle. Instead of using one of those heinz bottles, I use a cheap o ketchup/mustard/condiment bottle you see at BBQ places at the table. For better application, you cut some of the tip off the bottle to make the opening wider.
"I feel there's no nutritional benefits from this" - Tom "What are the health benefits from this?" - Michele Adding the butter gives you your recommended caloric intake.
For the hashbrowns I'd recommend putting them on their side. Medium low setting, twice. They get crispy with the twice cooked and putting them on their side means they actually get heat all the way through. Yes, you'd have to turn your toaster over if you don't have think tongs but if you're in such a place you need to use the toaster anyway, be willing to turn it over.
The pancake squeeze bottle comes in handy during the early morning rush. Make the mix the night before and bottle it, put it in the fridge. Then all you have to do is pull it out and use it.
I think it's because the people in this video are using frozen hash browns. But I'd still use a toaster oven for crisper browns and more evenly cooked (and this could also help you if you don't want to start a grease fire with a toaster). Seriously, I think that's how to get the best result because if you might not have such even cooking with a toaster and if Michelle thinks the toaster would get these browns soggy, imagine how soggy they'll be in the microwave.
You’ll have to cook the hash browns frozen and keep cooking them in high heat so the oil will dry up in the hash brown. Not only that most toasters I had has drop pans at the bottom so you can pull them out and clean it. You can also wait until it cools down and run some water and soap through it and wait until it completely dries to reuse the toaster.
Which one was my favourite? The fact that Michelle and I share the same opinion on all four "hacks". And she also makes heart shaped pancakes. Whoever her partner is, never ever let her go from your life. She's a treasure.
Happy New Year to all the staff at React and FBE. Also the episodes are always great when Eric and Tom are in the video, they are my favourites along with Tori and they are friendship goals and Tori and Eric are relationship goals
Because it's a simple task that somehow most of them fucked up, and I think a big reason for that is because none of them except him can cut a fucking onion, I don't get it, it's not that hard to do 😂
@@aposslex Same thing with burgers. You salt your burgers before putting them on the heat but AFTER forming them. (Do not mix the salt in with the meat)
Just an idea, but what about for the "next try not to eat challenge" you should do the food from the show YOU, and eat the food that Love makes for Joe. :)
@usucdik One of these days you're gonna order too many pancakes to eat in a single sitting, but there's just enough remaining to fit in your toaster. Then you'll look back on this comment and think to yourself, "the guy with the weird hair was right." And for that, you're welcome.
I use to do the hash browns in the toaster until the oil that the manufacturer puts in the hash browns was filling up my crumb tray in the bottom of the toaster and was a mess to clean up. Never again.
Butter coffee is my favorite! Have been drinking it for years. I have it without the cream or vanilla, though. You can just blend the coffee with the butter and coconut oil
My mans tom is like "it's a bit soggy in the middle, maybe it wasnt on a high enough setting🤔" takes his bitten out of hashbrown and put it back in the toaster 😂
you could combine all of the hacks into 1 breakfast. use the pancakes as a top and bottom bun, the hash browns and onion egg in between the pancakes and the butter coffee as the drink.
have i been cooking wrong all these years? 2 TBSP of butter is normally just me taking a tbsp from the drawer and scooping some butter. that amount seems 4 times as much as i use. wtf?
No idea how that pancake hack promotes recycling when you can easily recycle that ketchup bottle anyways. For the eggs, it's much easier (and has better results) to use egg rings than having to get an onion and using 2% of it whenever you want eggs. And doesn't the hash brown get grease inside the toaster?
They are actually called silver dollars here in the u.s. I dont know why they didnt tell them. But anywho, I wonder what ingredients they use for poffertjes, or if it's any difference at all. Time for me to look it up.
@@JigInsane well main difference would be the type of pan we use. In the Netherlands we have a "poffertjes pan", basically imagine a pan with mini baking molds. We put the batter in covering all the molds, and flip it in 2-3 min. That way they all even
If Im making hashbrowns for myself this is the only way I cook them. You have to run them 2x on the highest setting. when they pop the first time flip them around and run them again for the same amount of time and they come out perfect.
But, those are plastic rubber hashbrowns. If you want good quality hashbrowns, you can grate the potatoes and season them yourself for a healthier option and it's not that bad actually.
