Most impressive how he holds it to his utmost importance to take his fights in tournaments serious to the bone like a real martial artist without becoming malignant or mischievous or anything as such, but just trying to give his best showing through the character he plays. Other players bring hype through a more laid-back attitude in their own ways, but without very special people like Daigo, the meaning and sincerity of the whole thing is endangered to get lost in self-display and showmanship. This is also why he should stick to his Ryu (even if he struggles due to Capcom messing up their game), because as long as there is no other character his heart is more drawn towards, winning/losing only matters in context of his self-expression through Ryu.
