I've recently learned this (to a fashion)... very similar to your lesson... picked up some extras from your tutorial so that is good. Beautiful guitar! ...what are you using to get the tone you are playing. Thanks indeed.

Hello and cheers for your comments. The guitar is a Harley Benton Fusion Tele and I was playing through my Hotone Ampero straight into a Behringer UMC-404 audio interface. Obviously I left off the heavy reverb that's required for the song as I wanted people to hear the individual notes for the solo. Speed it up and soak it in reverb, (I use some delay as well), and it sounds great.

I have no idea what I am supposed to be learning, you did not play the solo up to speed over a backing track, sorry you need to rethink your instruction.

I don't understand your logic. The best way to learn a solo is to isolate it and slow it down. If I'd just played it up to speed over a backing track, how would a beginner/intermediate guitarist be able to learn it that way?

Correct you have to slow it down to give instruction on how to play it but you also need to play it up to speed so that the people learning it know what they are trying to play. Usually this would be done at the beginning or the end. @@sgt1959

That's ridiculous mate sorry. They can listen to the original if they want to know how it should sound. Plus, I do not do covers on yt as it often leads to a copyright strike - I only ever did one, "Hotel California" by the Eagles. You won't have seen it because yt removed it within about 30 seconds of me uploading - total waste of my time.@@johnlocke7097
