I definitely think it's a series worthy of a somewhat serious analysis. It's usually written off as a children's story but it is part of a massive media empire that didn't happen by mistake so I wanted to explore how that happened.

There's a lot of art that has been changed, mostly Luna. While I am going to be focusing on a narrative analysis for this series sometimes I can't help myself but point some of the big changes out. Hell in just this Act alone they "censored" Usagi saying shit; not sure why.

Even though there are 4 different printings of Sailor Moon, there are 5 versions of the manga. There is also the official full color version that was released in 2020 only in its digital version. Idk if it you didn’t know it existed or didn’t mention it because it’s not that different aside from color (even though it’s different from what was shown in the 20th anniversary exhibition), but I just thought I should mention it here.

Those were the times 😂 & of course we got the censored to death version, so when I watched the original anime in my so called adulthood, it was so much more beautiful that I had thought !!! 😂 Even with the subtitles 😂😆😂😆😂😂

Main reason I’m asking is because I’m working on a Sailor Moon audio series, basically a retelling of Sailor Moon through a slightly more modern lens, as a podcast format, and loved your narration and wondered if you might be interested in narrating it if you would ever have the time??
The usage of Kamen Rider in that instance was not the best choice on my part but it wasn't accidently. I simply wanted to show off other possible influences while my script didn't accurately reflect that decision.

I have an odd feeling it would have ended up almost as bad as the 4Kids One Piece dub.

I was under the impression that it was the same as the Eternal printing just with the addition of color. But good catch regardless.
