Oh do I love this! I used to see Seldom Scene at a bluegrass festival in Hugo, Okla. and loved them. That festival ended and all of those near us and we haven't been to one in years, but they were so much fun.
Dang, I use to have there albums back in 70s. I haven't heard them in years. I assumed they had split up or worse. Awesome to hear them again. Awesome video thanks for sharing.
Hot Dawg, that is absolutely fantastic! Such beautiful harmony on such a beautiful song. The sacred father - Bill Monroe - recorded it in 1950 as the B side of new Muleskinner Blues. Should have been the A side. Muleskinner Blues had already been recorded umpteen dozen times. Thank you bluegrass Country Radio for this video.
These men can never be replaced. John Duffy and Charley Waller were the best that will ever be . Please keep this blue grass alive For ever.
Crazy about these guys...still...yet...nobody ever eclipsed them in any of their incarnations. God bless them every one...past & present & beyond.
Great song and they did it right!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Canta de mais 🎉

The "Sacred Father"? Are you absolutely sure about that? Maybe just a little bit of hyperbole creeping in?
Marvelous!
What a great way to begin a set.. Still right on top of their game!
i like this,
absolutely beautiful job guys :)
Once upon a time, Dudley Connell was the best lead vocal in bluegrass. He reigned for several years.
And he is also a monster of a rhythm guitar player. He plays with enormous drive, esp with the johnson mtn boys.
This is a fantastic rendition of Bii's song, he would be proud.
John Duffy = what a voice!!
Yep!!! Darn close to the original!! Outstanding.
Man I've known this band since I was 17 and they still play together!
Yes but no originals left at all.
Somewhere John Duffy is smiling
I agree. Why don't they say the Seldom Scene Tribute Band
+shawn snyder Yeah, because members of bands never change....
Seldom scene always had top vocals in bluegrass kinda like the Eagles and Poco harmony in bluegrass.just sayin!
No John Duffy no seldom scene.
+JohnnyC Major Agree !! nobody beats Duffey !!
John Duffy was the Man!! Have to admit, the new Mandolin and Tenor is Damn Good!! Play on Boyz!!!
True, the original band was great, but the vocals and tight harmonies are some of best I've ever heard from any group, hands down!
