  • You may have heard of a blue bolt shrimp, as they are one of the more popular varieties of Taiwan bees in the shrimpkeeping hobby. Well today we want to talk about a couple of the hybridizations using the blue bolt, and how you could identify if you have a pure Taiwan bee or maybe one of the hybrids such as the blue steel or crazy blue shrimp.

    Are the blue steels good for breeding anything or just breeding steels together? I get some out of my boa line very rarely. Snow white tail, body, and very nice blue head with white dots.

    • @thegardenofeder
      @thegardenofeder  2 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      It really depends on their genetics. Some blue steels have crazy blue genes with traits to throw multiple colors that can be passed onto other crosses. Also you can get green pigments from steels as well.

    good to know they can change their color. when I first bought mine I didn't know you want more blue, I thought you wanted more white like crystal shrimp... yeah I'm a dumbass. anyway one of my BBs is almost completely white - I definitely remember NONE of my shrimp being that white.

    Is it possible to keep these types of Taiwan Bees (the more high end ones) in CO2 tanks?

    • @thegardenofeder
      @thegardenofeder  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes however the co2 makes it more risky. Say you run out of co2 or you Gass to much and the ph swings you can lose them.
