Radetzky March, Baggy Trousers, Those Magnificent Men In Their Flying Machines and Trelawney @ our Brass and Voice Concert 2024:
We had our first Brass and Voice in 9 years at the weekend, and it was great to bring it back! Our huge thanks to our choirs: The C Birds from the village, and Local Vocalz from Hayle; and to Keith Southwell of Lappa Valley Railway for compering for us.
Here's a selection from the evening - first up, a new one for us in Radetzky March by Strauss, before what is becoming our new signature piece, Madness' Baggy Trousers. This is followed by the classic theme Those Magnificent Men In Their Flying Machines, and it would be criminal not to end with Trelawny. We did have both choirs and the audience singing along to Trelawny in one big group collaboration, but unfortunately the back camera had run out of memory, so we weren't able to get any video footage of this, but at least we've got some footage!
We had a great time, and it was great to see so many people there. Hopefully this will be the first of many more - bring back an SNEB tradition!
