@@achrafagermoune2417 Jesus dying for our sins is the gospel by which we are saved. God is good and must punish sin and God is good and must be merciful but God is perfect and can't allow His mercy to contradict His justice and we find that perfectly met in Jesus Christ who takes the sin of the world upon Himself, paying for them and by Him many are justified. This is not new testament gospel either its biblical gospel from throughout all the old testament. Check out Isaiah chapter 53.

Me too. I was trying to follow Trinity doctrine, but it didn't simply felt right to me. When I was praying in the name of Trinity, it was felt like hypocrisy, and I continued to do so to not disturb my family, until one day I couldn't pretend I believe in Trinity anymore.
I've never heard about unitarians before, now I at least know there are people like myself.

What churches do biblical unitarians attend? All the churches in my area (Methodist, Catholic, Church of England/Anglican, United Reformed Church etc.) are all - as far as I'm aware - trinitarian churches. Are there specific Biblical Unitarian Churches? EDIT: also, do biblical unitarians read the same bible as other Christians like the King James Bible or Good News Bible?

    • @dalesajdak422
      @dalesajdak422 3 ปีที่แล้ว +12

I don’t think that there are any biblical unitarian churches. I think most of us attend churches of whatever denomination we agree the most with *besides* the Trinity. For example, I’m a biblical unitarian but I’m also a Lutheran because, besides the Trinity, Lutheranism is most in line with my theology.
Sadly, the Trinity is very very popular, and you’re hard-pressed to find any Christians who don’t believe it, and mainstream Christianity shuns unitarians big time.

I love this video!! I have never EVER believed the Oneness doctrine OR the Trinity doctrine. The pundits of both sides never could prove their arguments to me. Plus the arguments and examples they throw at each other are silly!!!
I have always sincerely believed that God (the father) and his son Jesus are two separate and distinct individuals. There is no way each could be the same "God" manifested as separate "persons" or "modes".
Biblical Unitrianism makes sense. Still, to believe it entirely, I require answers to a a few questions, for example:
    1. I don't know what to do with Psalm 23, Psalm 80 and a few other scriptures referring to the OT God as the "shepherd", yet Jesus refers to himself as the "good shepherd".
    2. Did Jesus exist in heaven before Mary became pregnant?
    3. Was there a time where Jesus eventually "became" God or acquired Godhood?
    4. Hebrews: "thy throne O God is forever".
    5. John 1: "the word was God"
    6. Colossians 1:16+ all things were created "by him"
    7. Since the offspring of any species is the same species as the one who sired it, then wouldn't that make the Son of God also a God?
I appreciate your attention to these many questions because I really need help with this! Thank you.

    • @timidjawa6324
      @timidjawa6324 3 ปีที่แล้ว

When species interbreed, does not that result in the offsprings being something different than their parents? I believe that God didn't conceived a child with Mary in human fashion, He created a miracle so that Mary brought a baby without the participation of a man. God participated in it, but not in the same manner as it goes among humans.

I think there's enough grace from God through the Gospel message for both Unitarians and Trinitarians to be considered children for so as long as they believe in the Gospel Message and repent as Yeshua commanded. The specifics on God's state of being(aside from Him being the only God) aren't requirements from what I can tell from the Apostle's writings. It's sad that Unitarians are marginalized/maligned by many Trinitarian Christians and are considered false teachers. I myself have been a Trinitarian for years(with off and on research and pondering) who is now leaning a bit towards Unitarianism. It's only very recent that I've started to notice how bad this rift in the Church is, and the burden of guilt seems to fall on Trinitarian Christians. I pray that the Father restores unity in the Body as was intended from the Beginning. Bless you all my brothers and sisters

How can you say you have seen Abraham?” Jesus answered, “I tell you the truth before Abraham was even born, I Am!”, John: 1:14 - And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us., "He who has seen Me has seen the Father; so how can you say, 'Show us the Father'?”

I am beginning to believe that knowing who Jesus is (loving, forgiving, righteous, sinless, savior, judge, ect.) is more important than knowing what Jesus is (man, angel, God, ect.). I believe that accepting Jesus as your Lord and Savior who died for our sins and was risen from the grave by the one and only God is sufficient enough. Love God with everything you have and love eachother. I believe this man and do not worry about his salvation, even though I still lean towards the trinity. God is God and only he knows all the answers. We only know what he chooses to reveal.

If you call upon the name of the Lord you shall be saved. Jesus is Lord. Islam is the religion of the antichrist according to the Bible. Do you still believe in the old and new testament? I always wondered - why should God himself die for us? To whom he had to pay a price? He bargained with Satan? Sin costs as much as his life? This really doesn't make much sense.

I’m a Muslim, so pardon me if I misunderstand. But I’m confused; I agree that God is one, and not a trinity. I agree that Jesus was human and not God. But how, as a Christian, can you reconcile with this? The Bible says Jesus is Lord, so does that not lead to the conclusion that the Bible has been changed (Changed from its original message of one god)?
I am thrilled that there are still Christians who reject this trinitarian doctrine and recognize the one true God. But at that point … you must question the Bible too…

    • @DoeintheThicket
      @DoeintheThicket 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

I was wondering if I could ask you about Islam. (Your questions above make me feel like you and I may have similar questions about Christian doctrine.) I was raised Trinitarian Christian, but always struggled to embrace the idea of Jesus as I could not understand the need for a barrier between God and his people. So Unitarian seems much more in line with what I sense is true. But if Jesus was indeed fully man, how could he ever be regarded as the judge of mortal souls? Is God not the only judge? Why would a man, Jesus or otherwise, be “necessary” to God other than for communication purposes? Unitarian doctrine feels closer to the truth in some ways, but then in others seems even more like blasphemy in the way that it continues to elevate a fully human man so high in God’s kingdom. How does Islam see Jesus (if it acknowledges him at all) and how does this compare to Muhammad (the best-known Islamic figure I can think of)?

      Hello sister,
I will give try to give you a small explanation.
Islam sees Jesus peace be upon him as a mighty prophet of the one God.
We MUST believe in his miracle birth and all the miracles he performed during his life by the permission of that one God.
We believe that just like his predecessors(adam, abraham, moses) peace be upon them all he came to guide his people(12 tribes) back to proper worship of the one God.
And finally we believe he did NOT die on the cross(because that is a cursed death). A prophet of the one God will NEVER die a cursed death.
As for your question regarding if Muhammad peace be upon him is "greater" then Jesus pbuh.
He is NOT. They are both servants of the One. The only thing islam says is that after Muhammad there will come no other prophets. He is also the one who Jesus prophesized about who would come after him with the final message.
If you want really detailed information its best to ask a practicing muslim.
And always ask for proofs from 3 scriptures before forming an opinion.
      Good luck to you sister

@@DoeintheThicket Hi Sarah! There are actually a lot of misconceptions people have about Islam.
In Islam, we believe Jesus was a prophet of God (we call him Prophet Isa (peace be upon him) ) sent to the people like Moses and Abraham were. He was born to the Virgin Mary, and is also the Messiah, in that we believe he will return to Earth one day to fight the false messiah (sometimes called the Antichrist). He performed miracles, but only through the will of God.
However, the big difference between us and Christians is that we don’t believe he was divine in any way. He worshipped God the same way each prophet did. He never commanded anyone to worship him, and he certainly did not bring the idea of any kind of trinity.
We believe Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) was the final prophet God sent. He spread the same message as Jesus, and came to clear confusion. We believe the Bible and Torah are not in its original form, and that the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) brought the Quran as the final revelation from God.
The reason you see us talk more about Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) than Jesus (pbuh), is because he brought the final revelation, and God states in the Quran that we should follow him and strive to be like him in character.
I hope this made sense, lmk if you have any other questions!

Oneness believe that God is Jesus. They actually believe that God took on flesh and called himself Son! Run from Oneness doctrine!

Howdy John, thanks to the internet, more Unitarian books are free to everyone, so eventually, the rest of the Church will come back to that Biblical viewpoint. However, your vid fails to discuss anything on ecclesiology, eschatology, and the many other doctrines in most creeds. It's like the BU's have one hobby horse and that is all they talk or write about. Granted, they are a minority, and many need to hear that view, but, there are other doctrines in the Bible, that the BU's are silent on, WHY?

    In trinitarianism "God" =
    1) The Father
    2) Jesus/the Son
    3) The Holy Spirit
    4) The Trinity (The Father, Son and Holy Spirit)
    5)The Father and the Son
    6) The Father and the Holy Spirit

Not really, biblical unitarianism is just a theological stance on the nature of God, it doesn’t have stances on anything else and it doesn’t have any churches. It’s just a label for a certain idea, like how when people describe their position on abortion as “pro-life” it doesn’t make “pro-life” a new political party.

      For believing the Bible?
Jesus is not God. His Father is, however. Go read all the words of Him and pray for Yaweh to open your eyes to the truth. Jesus’s real name is Yeshua, btw, His name literally means “salvation”. He was Yawehs salvation, the origin of creation (rev 3:13) and the firstborn of creation (col 1:15). Read John 17:3 where Yeshua says there is only ONE Elohim (God) and then in chapter 20, He tells Mary not to touch Him because He is going to His God and her God. No one in the NT thought He was God and He would be lying if He told them there is only one God and then expect them to believe He was also God. That doctrine doesn’t make sense. There is only ONE GOD, or else Yeshua was lying.
“For there is one Elohim (God), and one Mediator between Elohim and men, the *Man* Messiah יהושע(Yeshua, Jesus),”
      ‭‭ (1 Timothy)‬ ‭2:5‬
I would advise everyone to unlearn everything they’ve been taught and just spend as much time reading the Word for yourself. Yaweh is not the author of confusion and His word is very easy to read if you unlearn everything you’ve been taught.

I think you have hit the nail on the head. People fear they are being disrespectful to consider Jesus any thing but God. Fortunately, Jesus makes it clear in over 100 verses he is not God. Stick with what Jesus says and you won't go wrong. Jesus actually get irritated when he is called good (although he is being quite modest) and says why do you call me good. There is only one that is good, my father in heaven.

interesting stuff. in my group (churches of Christ of the Stone/Campbell restoration movement), the word "trinity" has been very controversial. i think most of our preachers/college professors and members are trinitarian. but have recoiled from the technical language re: the trinity which gets into very speculative kinds of thinking. Inferences from inferences. it really does not come up much. But most of our songbooks in thy beloved hymn, "Holy, Holy, Holy" replace "God in three persons blessed Trinity" with "God over all and blessed eternally". I used to think it was just an arcane matter of semantics. This fascinating presentation notwithstanding, i think most in my group have become stronger trinitarians as they emphasized the role of the Holy Spirit not just in theological formulations but in Christian life and experience.

Correct me if I am wrong. Unitiarians do not believe Jesus is God, they do not believe Jesus sacrifice on the cross saves from sin (salvation), they do not believe Jesus was born of a virgin, they believe works save them, they do not belive in the trinity, the do not believe in hell, they believe they are sinless, Jesus did not rise from the grave, Jesus is created and not equal to God. Am I wrong?

You might be thinking of Unitarian Universalists who see the Bible as equal to other sacred texts (Quran, etc.). Biblical unitarians are pretty similar to evangelical churches on quite a few beliefs but differ on some others. We believe that Jesus is a man (Acts 2:22; 1 Tim. 2:5) who has a God (John 20:17) and thus, is not God. We believe Jesus is our king, lord and savior and that he died on the cross for the sins of humankind, we also believe in the virgin birth, we don't think works save.
