I like your take on this, I think it goes some way to explaining why SO many guitarists I love recorded their best work at such a (painfully lol) young age. They were never chasing perfection - they just looked for the best way to say what they wanted to say
@@Paul-D exactly. I like music that comes from the 60s from Cream, Hendrix etc. stuff that was recorded in like a day, one take. I like your point about being a young guitarist and just being led by expression. But then I meet younger guitar players nowadays (man I sound old ha ha) and they are chasing perfection. Things like improvisation and flow are alien to them. Personally, I stopped trying to be perfect long ago...but still hear the voices in the back of the mind...that's not perfect ha ha.
