Check research papers published by them, their infrastructure their quality of students, everything is better and I don't think any Indian engineering aspirant will choose IIT over MIT if they actually get admission there in USA until they have financial constraints. IITs aren't less but still far behind MIT Oxford etc.

@@hackmathematics6647 even selection ratio is very good in mit, do not become fools like other people, in mit there are many eligibility criteria unlike iit that only considered jee, in iit 10lakhs student appear in which 7 lakh are not even serious they just give jee because eligibility criteria is very easy as you just have to fill the form, whereas in mit only serious student appear for it as there are many criteria need to fullfilled so if we considered selection ratio then around 3 lakh student sits in jee and it takes around 25000 student, many thinks that it is 10000 but no ,10000 seats is for general category student and not for all students and 300000 students are from every category, so if you do maths iit selection ratio comes around 8% which is similar to mit which is 6-7%
IIT creates a hardworking person who solves book questions. But mit is far different from this. It creates a person who solves real life problems and he has enough practical knowledge. Student who feel enlightened by the subject they study are the ones selected for MIT. It's not just a scoring machine or a maths expert that MIT seeks but a students that's human. MIT studies your extracurricular activities and analyses your character overall, just to make sure that you are not a book worm. And, to be honestly, MITians are the ones doing a real contibution to the world. Because, clearing an exam doesn't make you smart, rather it pressurises your mind into learning thing which need reasons and a practical knowledge. JEE - Adv is one of hardest exams we have in Asia, I respect that. But so many students are suffocating their creativity just so that they can complete their syllabus on time. only 8-10 Indians get into MIT every year because they look into individuals' PERSONAL PROFILE A personal profile consists of:- 1- SAT Score 2- IELTS Score 3- CLASS 9-12 Grades ( more than 95% for higher chances of acceptance ) 4- Extracurriculars ( if sport you must reach atleast state level ) 5- AP Recommended 6- Good LOR , SOP , Letters 7- Top Notch " ESSAYS " 8- Social work (optional but increase probability of acceptance ) 9- Any Startup ( optional but same reason ) That's what premium US colleges including MIT wants from their applicant, And still, it's not confirmed that will they accept you or not.
