Dear David! I've got 2 lamps, so I have to buy 2 transmitters and 2 recievers? Or 1 transmitter (in the controller) can work with 2 reciever (in the lamps)?

I have 1 transmitter going to 8 receivers for up lighting and no problems
And on another light setup I have 1 transmitter going to 1 receiver and then I daisy chain the rest, works great

+Rittya7 You need 1 transmitter per DMX universe and a receiver per light I if I have 10 fixtures using 7 channels each for a total of 70 dmx channels I would need 1 transmitter and then 10 receivers.

All this device does is transmit DMX information from the controller console (slider board) to a DMX lighting fixture (such as a moving head) via 2.4Ghz radio. Other lighting fixtures (such as other moving heads, par cans, strobe lights, etc.) can then be connected to first lighting fixture with a standard DMX cable in what is called a "daisy chain". This is for the purpose of the lighting designer and their console being physically disconnected from the lights that they control; most often due to physical distance.
If you want to be able to control an LED matrix, that is entirely dependent on the capabilities of the DMX device that will be receiving the data (an SPI LED controller such as Madrix running WS2812b pixels, for example).
This transmitter would simply allow the person sending information to the matrix to not have to be physically connected to it with any cables, but will not do anything else.

You would need another controller to set different colors.

I bought a set of these and didn’t notice that you had to plug them in. I thought they were just wireless and I think it’s retarded that you have to power these things. Yeah you don’t have to have a long DMX cable but it’s the same time now you have to have power somewhere near your fixture and a lot of times I’m using wireless fixtures Luckily, I have one more day to return these.
