    I enjoyed your video. I am about to introduce meals for my 5 month old baby and I am very cautious about what I feed her. What do you put in her homemade cereal. What is that recipe? So when you do have to buy a store bought puree which oatmeal do you go with and why?

      Thank you! That’s great! Love your approach! It’s literally just milled oats/ oat flour or milled quinoa, brown rice, buckwheat, rye, barley or other grain of your choice boiled with some water. That’s it. Look for video recipes for homemade baby cereal here on TH-cam, I don’t have a video on that yet.
      About store bought: I don’t have one favorite cereal to buy, in this video I told you about a few good ones from different brands🙂

    Gerber and Earths Best are reported to have high level of arsenic according to consumer reports. Please make parents aware.

    Hello, I am considering giving my baby solids soon. What kind of food shall I start with? What did you give your baby the first meal? Thanks

      Hello! I have a video on how to start solids right, I highly recommend you watch it: th-cam.com/video/G-op4gbU3Zc/w-d-xo.html
      I personally started with homemade veggie purées (zucchini, broccoli, avocado) . I have more videos planed on this topic and more baby food review as well , so stay tuned 👌🏻

    So what cereal do you feed your baby? You didn’t tell us. Lol

      Like I said, I was cooking most of her meals myself , including cereal. I fed her homemade cereal . A couple of times when we traveled I used store-bought purées and snacks. Despite this, in this video I am just sharing which store-bought baby cereal is the healthiest in my opinion.

    My baby is 7 months and he is not interested in veggies nor fruits. Any tips?

    • @KarynaCast
      @KarynaCast  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That’s interesting....i didn’t get this issue until she was about a year old, that’s when I started to hide veggies in her food (omelettes, smoothies). Do you feed him purées? What have you introduced first? What is he eating now ?

    • @maricelagallegos6516

      @@KarynaCast i introduced veggies at 6 months. He seems interested in food because when I eat he wants some. But as soon as I give him a taste he rejects all foods. So once I introduced veggies I started with fruits and even then he still not interested. He doesn't want to eat anything right now other then breast milk. I insist because his mouth gets watery when he sees me eat but won't eat what I give him 😔 these are the foods he's tasted: squash, brocolli, carrots, pees, spinach, green beans, mango, banana, apple, avocado, white rice, cereal, oatmeal. If I get lucky and he eats anything its in really small amounts like 3 small spoon fulls. Nothing close to what he should be eating.

      So your concern is about him not eating “enough” in general , not about not liking fruit and veggies. Look, you know I am not an expert but I took a course about solids(it’s in ukranian, so can’t give you any good resource in English right now ) and I have successfully started solids with my daughter...soooo what I can tell you is: eating 3 spoons is NORMAL for his age, eating 1 spoon is normal too! Please hear me! Up until 9-10 months mark babies get ALL of those calories and nutrients from breast milk. Even after that breast milk is the biggest source of calories. Right now you are in the phase of JUST INTRODUCING something different from breast milk, you should not have an agenda to get him full , just let him to try. It’s good that he shows interest in solids but have you been force feeding him? You said you are insisting on him eating. If you have been doing that that’s the reason he has a bad reaction now. It’s ok, don’t worry ! If you stop insisting now you can still have him be a good eater in the future. It’s always better to take a step back! As long as you breastfeed him on demand and your doctor has no concern about his weigh gain, you are doing good!

      We have started solids with Mikaela when she was almost 7 months old and trust me she did not eat more than 1-2 spoons for a while. First we had one meal a day , then two , then 3 meals when she was already about 11 month old. She was breastfed one demand and we had no issues with weigh gain and appetite
