Trailmakers is about building very awesome vehicles and machines, but you don’t need an engineering degree to get started. The intuitive builder will get you going in no time. Everything you build is made from physical building blocks. Each block has unique features like shape, weight and functionality. They can be broken off, refitted and used to build something new. Individually the blocks are fairly simple, but combined the possibilities are endless.
Expedition Mode is the challenging campaign mode of Trailmakers. You are competing in an off-world rally expedition with only a few building blocks to get you started. You must build, tinker with and rebuild your machine to progress. Journey through a big world, overcome deep gorges, angry wildlife and dangerous weather to progress and find new parts that will juice up your machine. The world in Expedition Mode will test your survival skills and ingenuity.
Sandbox Mode is where you want to head for an unrestricted, sandbox, vehicle-building experience. Here you can build anything you can dream of, and play around with it in the world of Trailmakers. It is a great place to test out crazy machines, and experiment with the physics engine. With tons of different blocks, hinges, thrusters and interactive vehicle parts - the skybox is the limit.
Trailmakers is even more fun if you play it with other people. Build cool vehicles and compete in mini-game modes with your friends or other Trailmakers online. Build a helicopter, send it to your friend, and shoot them out of the sky. Put two seats on a tank, and let your friend control the turret. As we get further in Early Access development Expedition Mode will also be adapted to multiplayer.

Hey Scrapman! After the Assumptions video I started watching your old Raft series with Kan. It was really fun and the game has received multiple big updates with a full story now. There are like 10 new giant locations filled with story and puzzles. Also a lot of new items and ways to decorate your raft. There are engines, steering wheels, ways to make fuel and water. Do you think it would fit your channel? Also maybe play with Kan or someone else again. Please like and comment so he'll know we want to see this.

Space battleships would be awesome. I bet someone would make a star destroyer or Enterprise
I'd love to see a battleship style match, you both build large, durable ships with low speed and several weapons, then fire at each other from long range, seeing who can batter down the other before you get too close to one another.
Would still love to see a Trailmakers battle (land or air, your choice) where you have shields that you can only take out with EMP weaponry before you're allowed to shoot the creation with ballistic weapons only.

Idk maybe add dynamite so the second the shield goes down you're completely vulnerable
I like the idea, I love scrap man's videos but tbh I thought it was rlly weird that they barely used shields, and whwn they did, only emp, I wanna see a fight with both, real weapons and sheilds,

I love the different takes on train engines. Scrapmans is absolutely a beast. Honestly if trains looked like that I would consider being a driver haha
The view range would be bad, good luck seeing...
With such an armored front and how it soaks up damage way better than the rear cars, I'd say the play is to make your turret mounts up high and keep your nose to the enemy for this kind of battle

Going with the Train-esque, The head is the only one with wheels and the rest of the segments is hover/skis. The Weaponry is EMPs and Tank cannons.

Idea! How about a high-speed demolition derby on one of the new planets, where falling off the edge is a loss condition.
I think it'd be interesting if you guys could figure out how to do this- but as a flying vehicle... plane trains? space trains?

This was amazing. It makes me wonder how well flying trains would work... similar concept to this video, but airborne? Maybe easier to do in space, since aerodynamics and gravity wouldn't be issues.
Could we maybe see the same idea but for space? it might be really hard but it would look cool and you could have alot of different designs like a dragon or you could do it for boats your choice
this made me want to see you make a space train, not even necessarily for a battle, just any situation, I think a space train would be cool

Here’s an idea for a series of videos: try and get the fastest time possible on all of the challenge races in the other trailmakers maps
you could have a multiplayer battle with flying trains. it would certainly be interesting to see
This might be a weird suggestion but how about mech/armor battles?
you build a mech/armor to fight like every other battle, the only limitations being that it needs to be a walker.
I think you guys should do this idea again but with teams. One drives and the other shoots. You could also add the complexity mod so that you can have longer battles. Or you could do something like flying trains.

this was a really cool interpretation of what we were asking for, way more fun than what i suggested. the way these drove really reminded me of snakey bus

You guys should do a crawler battle with the same concept where you add more sections as the rounds progress
Alright, I got an idea.
Dogfight, but every round you increse gravity (starting at 0.2 and going up to 2) and between each round you are given the opportunity to modify your plane a tiny bit to add more wings lighten it up etc. (nothing too crazy though)

This is quite cool, I thought that it'd be better with more people but I think it just being you two is enough
you should try doing a train chase where one or two cars chase after a train with someone as the pilot and someone else controlling a gun, similar to your cargo plane vs dogfighter battle. I realise you've done something similar to this in the past but I personally would love to see it, especially with multiple carts for the gunner to switch between separate weapons.
This kinda reminds me of that old flash game, trains of war or whatever was its name. It was a fun game

Suggestion:
A sort of tower defense where 1 attacker with infinite respawns has to make a lap around the map, the 3 defenders make a turret and pick a spot that they will have to stay on for the duratuon if the game, the fastest lap wins

Things really went off the rails quickly.
a wreckfest/flatout 2 inspired demoderby race around the airborn map or other ingame racetracks would be epic, the cars should be as realistic ro real demoderby cars as possible and only propultion should come from the tires (no thrust), on smaller tracks you could add the no repair rule
I have a Challenge for you:
Build a Quantum Engine
Blocks you can use:
Quantum Rudders
Gyro Stabilizers
Gyro Blocks
Hover Pads
Helicopter Engines
Logic Blocks
Steering Hinges/Servos
Pistons
And any Construction Blocks
Restrictions:
Can't use Hover Pads for Propulsion (that would be considered an UFO engine)
Goals:
Build the engine using the parts provided and make it Stable on command, have smooth and easy handling, and make it able to fly in all possible areas, Space, Water, Any Atmosphere
Bonus Points:
Build a Quantum Engine without using any Logic Blocks, Steering Hinges of Pistons of any kind, and without Hover Pads
Scoring Board:
20 Points for making a Quantum Engine
20 Points for making it fly
20 Points for having smooth controls such as Roll, Pitch, Left/Right Turns
20 Points for having it able to fly in any situation such as In Space, Water, and Areas with High Gravity
20 Points for if you can take off from the ground without losing any parts
+5 Points if you don't use any Steering Hinges or Pistons
+20 Points if you don't use any Hover Pads
+75 Points if you don't use any Logic Blocks
Highest possible score 200 Points
Lowest possible score 20 Points
Hint: You don't need to build a Body to contain this Engine as it may be too big to contain
Why a Quantum Engine?
Well I've been experimenting with making a Quantum Engine for a while now and I want to see how Scrap Man's and the others takes this challenge and see what kind of creation he could make
The terrain on this one really got in the way. I would be interested to see this again but on more flat terrain or subtle grades like trains actually drive on.
Here’s an idea, 2 player teamed pirate ships. The pilot and gunner issuing probably the large cannon and emps. And fight in space or the end game of the air map over the clouds. Love the vids keep up the good work.
Epic idea: 2v2 kamikaze boats
Each team builds a battleship with 1 minigun and a kamikaze boat with at least 4 dynamite with no keybinds on the dynamite
The kamikaze boats have to try to destroy the battleships by ramming, and have infinite respawns
The winner is the team whose battleship survives the longest
No speed limits on kamikaze boats, 60 block limit
100kph limit for battleship, 200 block limit

I would love to see more of these battles where we see parts break off, but it takes a lot of time before the battle goes over. I would love to see a train like this, but others have to fire at you continuesly untill you finally lose all your wheel and/or engines. Slowly deteriorating you and slowing you down.

In a similar veined concept to this video, make flying battle dragons that are long and sinuous like these train cars. (Think the Chinese and/or Dragonball Z type of dragons.) You're allowed to use a breath weapon (whatever gun you want) or you can use your claws and teeth to attack the other flying dragon(s).
I've suggested this in your discord, but I think that an EMP dogfight with camera blocks would be insanely fun...

I think you should redo the dogfight with no block limit or weapon restrictions, but with the new parts! (Energy shield, blaster etc.)

I'd suggest a Skiff or ship battle on airborne. And since there is no water, you need to let your skiff levitate on a certain hight. Not just hoverpads. Real levitation thrusters and logic 😜
Hey Scrapman, can you do a experiment with debris and use it like a flare so the guns will lock onto the debris. Will it work?

You NEED to expound on this. Make a hijacking game where the goal is for one person to detach a specific car without destroying the valuble cargo inside. If the player in the train makes it from point A to B they win. If the player in the hijacking vehicle secures the cargo, they win. YOU HAVE TO TRY THAT PLEASE

I think you had an advantage by not sticking to the rules, especially in the first round. By concentrating your mass in the front you messed with the auto aim, and you can clearly see that. This directed Yzuei´s shoots to your more armored front.

A battle where not only do you change / add weapons, you also have to add TnT to your build each round

Would be cool to see a TNT truck survival challenge. Who can build the longest surviving unarmed truck that's carrying 16 blocks of TNT.
Scrapman you should definitely try this challenge in scrap mechanic but on the rails like a real train and the rails need to be like two lanes going in a circle. And then do it with a weapons mod! This would be sooooooo cool! No complexity limit!!!
And actually you could do this with more people and then just basicely add mor lanes of train tracks!
mm idea: could you guys set up a tower defense area or maze with towers of tapebots (like the glass car evolution challenge) and glowbugs randomly placed, and make cars out of only cardboard (wheels too?) and have to navigate to the end? whoever makes it the furthest or finishes fastest.

Video Idea: One Large land truck vs 2/3 cars.
Similar to the mad max movie where the War Rig was fighting off several small vehicles, The truck could have a limit of 3 or 4 weapons and the small vehicles limit to 100/150 blocks and 2 smart cannons or something.
Idea: battle spheres or cubes with no visible propulsion.🤪

"Battle Trains" have a more badass name, that's Panzerzug, which legit translates to Armored Train in German, and was a very real thing.
Can you do battleships? But it needs to have a 3 man crew 1 in the front 1 in the back 1 in the mid
